The awesome folks at Animal Talk and Rhode Island Parrot Rescue collected so many items for animals and families in the south impacted by the recent hurricanes that they now need to rent a U-Haul to get it all there 🙌🏻 This is a great problem to have, but rental and gas costs will be about $1500. One day a dog will come along and change your life...for the better! It's hard enough to see dogs waiting in shelters, it's even harder to watch them when they are having a hard time in a shelter environment. A boy like Scallywag likes to be active, he enjoys running and playing fetch, going on hikes and exploring the great outdoors & being with his people. He is so handsome and very smart too! Scallyway is a three year old Labradoodle mix with a stunning chocolate brown coat and soulful eyes, not to mention his expressive eyebrows! He is in search of an experienced adult home preferably with a fenced in yard that he can play in and a home that will give him the love, time and patience he so deserves! 🌀Hurricane Milton has left Florida's exotic bird rescues in urgent need of support as they prepare, plan, and evacuate. We’re collecting donations to benefit parrot rescues that will be impacted by the storm. 💚🏥

📍 Drop-off Location: Rhode Island Parrot Rescue
173 Washington Street, West Warwick, RI
🔹Drop off at the designated station/bin in front of the building, 7 days a week, 9 AM–4 PM.
✨ SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: We are partnering with Animal Talk at the Dogtoberfest event, happening October 12, 11 AM–1 PM at Cowesett Inn (226 Cowesett Ave, West Warwick, RI)! 🔹Drop off donations will be accepted for dogs and cats there as well. 🐕🦜

It is always so incredible to watch the precious shelter pups transform into SUPERMODELS and show off their SHINE!! I can't explain the feeling we get when we work with the pups, they know it's their moment...they know we are there to help them! Let their true colors shine through...

When I look at shelter animals, I always think about colors...I try to let them feel a sense of calm and imagine that they will let their true colors shine through! Next time you go meet a shelter animal just sit with them, spend some time getting to know them and you too will see their colors! This gorgeous Hound boy is Dancer and he is such a fun-loving boy who wants nothing more than to be LOVED! Hounds are such loyal, loving pups! Most people who have had a Hound in their life never adopt anything but a Hound ever again because they have experienced true Hound love!
