Hi everybody. I know you haven't heard a lot from me.... The girls and I, and of course Elvis too, are on hiatus the rest of the year. We're all taking a little break and prayerfully there will be more Elvis babies next summer.
In the meantime I thought I would share some pictures of Reese's who is now CoCo. She was the last girl here and she went to a wonderful home that she shares with Baker who is also from Rockin' Rose. Her new mom absolutely loves her and isn't CoCo beautiful! I am so happy that all the babies from Elvis and Willow found wonderful homes which is the most important thing. Just thought I would share. 🐩❤️🐩

I received these pictures of Poppy (formerly Snickers) this morning. Doesn't she look absolutely beautiful! This was after her first professional groom. I do not use clippers on the body of a puppy and I am not good at sc******ng. So I always love to see pictures after their first professional grooming appointment. Thank you for the pictures Connee. ❤️. Poppy is Gorgeous!

By the way, I have mad respect for groomers. I do my best to keep up with my adult girls but I am definitely not groomer material. 🙂 They walk around with hair between their toes and uneven top knots. 😂🤣 So to all those groomers out there... you are awesome and talented. And your job is way harder than most can imagine. My hat's off to you!

These babies are all in great homes now! 🎉❤️🎉 It's tough out there... so I appreciate every family who gave one of these cuties a great home. It's fun, but it's also a lot of work to properly raise your future family members. And I love every minute of it but I'm ready to rest.🤪 I hope each of these sweet pups bring much joy to their new families. I know for the time they were here they definitely brought joy to us. That's it for Rockin' Rose in 2023. See you in 2024! 🐩🐩🐩

I'm so happy to report that Reese's found her forever family. She has a new brother, Baker, who is a former Rockin' Rose baby. And from the video I received they are having a great time together. I love that she is having so much fun with him! ❤️. Her new mom, Susan, thought she was so pretty and said she's probably going to end up being more spoiled than Baker 🤔 ...but in a good way. There isn't anything wrong with a little spoiling! Thank you Susan! I appreciate you giving two of my babies such a loving home. ❤️🐩❤️🐩❤️

Reeses looking beautiful after her bath and groom today! She is the last pup available and we have been getting lots of one-on-one time and have been working on basic commands. She is doing very well. This girl is beautiful and sweet. ❤️🐩❤️I'm sure she will be in her forever home soon.

So I got a picture of Henry, formerly Justice ( Elvis x Rebel baby). Isn't he adorable?? As everyone knows I love a clean poodle face but I do think the furry faces are so cute on some of them. And a lot of people really like it this way. And it's their baby and they can do what they want. Just thought I'd share this handsome boy. And thank you Anita for always keeping me up to date on how he's doing and sharing pictures. I love getting them!

Reese's is still looking for a home. She is so sweet and absolutely beautiful. She likes to snuggle but she also loves to do her own thing and explore. She would be such a blessing to whatever home she went to. She is the last poodle available from her litter. And the last litter I am having this year. And next year's looking iffy. But, this beautiful girl needs a home. If you've ever thought about owning a standard poodle, now is the time. Somebody needs this girl!

Daphne, formerly Twix, has been such a good girl for her family. They sent me this picture and message today. I love, and live for, these great reports....

"She loves hotels. We are in Ohio for a funeral. She is wonderful. She stayed at Larry's sisters during the service (4 hours long) and she didn't want to crate Daphne. We come home to a clean house! No accidents anywhere!".

I'm taking about 25% of the credit! 🤔🤷‍♀️🙂 But the other 75% goes to her parents. They are both low to medium energy level and have awesome temperaments. Standard poodle puppies can be a handful..... They are very energetic but at about 18-24 months, and I know some of you just gasped, they just mellow out. A standard poodle by nature is active and an extremely intelligent breed. But, If you have set boundaries and been consistent with their training, you will have an awesome companion when all is said and done.

My heart is full. Our sweet Twix, whom I believe is now Daphne, has found her forever home. Her new mom and dad are the sweetest people! Her dad had a stroke not long ago, and they had also lost a dog they had for several years earlier this year. Her new dad said Daphne was just what he needed. ❤️. If I could begin to tell you how palpable the love was that came from him when he held her!! .... It was so sweet! I know she is going to have the best home and a lot of attention and love. And since her new parents are retired they will have so much time to spend with her. Let's just say I think she's going to be spoiled. 🙂 But in a good way. Thank you Larry & Susan for choosing Rockin' Rose Standard Poodles!

Poppy's new mom sent me pictures today. She's so pretty! And so loved already. ❤️🐩❤️ She also gave me an update on how she was doing.. Here's a small tidbit of what she wrote -
"She is doing great. We had a very loud thunderstorm the other night and she didn't make a sound. "Complains" a little when going in crate at night, but settles quickly. She sits at door while I put her leash on and sits on her own when we come back in so I can take her leash off.
We've had a couple of potty accidents, but that's to be expected. All in all, she's a joy!"

Definitely makes my heart happy! ❤️

And then I got this message tonight:

"....she wants to eat everything outside. Leaves, grass, bugs, bag worms, if she sees or sniffs it, she thinks it's fair game. Like watching a toddler!".

Just a day in the life of a puppy! But so worth it!

Ricky (formerly Hershey) went to his new home yesterday evening. Needless to say, his new family loved him. ❤️ He wouldn't stop giving his new dad kisses long enough for me to get a decent pic. 🤪. Thank you McIntosh family for choosing this boy! He's a sweet one!

Sweet Skittles will be flying the coop. ❤️❤️ We are so happy for her. As usual, it's a bittersweet. But we know she is going to be incredibly loved!

This is what I had to deal with yesterday. 😂🤣 When I say that Reese's is never in the mood for pictures.... Believe it. But she's always in the mood for laying around.

When I grade my pups as far as their behavior on the grooming table, I grade them knowing that an A+ for a puppy means the best that is possible at their age. I was so proud of this boy! I strive to give all the puppies the best head start. And I know that they have a lifetime of grooming so this is an area that's really important to me. The temperament of the parents is a big factor, but I also work diligently to desensitize them. I was very proud last year when someone who has one of my babies sent me a text and told me that her groomer said that her dog was one of the best Standard 🐩 that she grooms. And I don't say that to brag because I know that not every poodle that leaves here is an A+ poodle. But know that your puppy has been worked with extensively. After they leave here, I pray that the families they go to continue the process. Whoever makes Hershey a part of their home is getting a great pup!

Skittles ♥️♥️

Poor Skittles. The girls and I thought we would make this video to let everybody see how the puppies are growing and doing and somehow we forgot her. 🤔🤷‍♀️. She was probably hiding out under the little feed trough hoping she didn't get put in a crate again today. 😂🤣😂. No seriously, they are all getting used to it slowly but surely. We will do another video of Skittles in just a little bit. Never a dull moment around here these days!

Second introductions because Kamryn wanted her turn..... And puppy introductions are always fun! 🙂

Sweet babies! ❤️ All are genetically phantom. They are either kyky atat or kyky ata. Will be looking for homes in 5 weeks.

Litterbox training has officially begun! Of course when they're 19 days old you start with just a potty pad. Here's the dog pile after cleaning the whelping box and changing out bedding. As you can see at the end, one of them already made use of the potty pad.
