As we rejoice in the incredible victories of our UKR soldier heroes, we would also like to honor Ludmilla Samulevich, a hero of the heart whose sacrifice will be remembered always... Better known as Karina Mart, she was a well-known animal rights activist in Mariupol, rescuing desperate animals in need of her love. Ludmilla died, likely of hunger, in her apartment on March 7 next to her beloved 7 dogs, unwilling to abandon them during the Russian assault on her city.
