I’m Allyson! 👋🏼
Let me introduce myself...
I’m 30 years old, and have been an animal lover my entire life!
I graduated as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2011. I’ve been working with animals for almost 12 years now.
My partner Jason and I have 4 rescue cats and hope to rescue a dog in the near future. We also foster kittens from the SPCA pretty frequently.
I started Valley Pawdicures because as an RVT and pet parent I know how stressful it can be for both you and your pet to head to the vet clinic/groomer — between the car ride, waiting room and of course the pawdicure itself.
It can be inconvenient and time consuming to pack up your pet, get out of the house, drive to the vet clinic/groomer and sit in the waiting room for a fairly quick appointment.
There are people and pets with mobility issues and people without their own vehicle that makes it extra challenging.
I also know how important frequent pawdicures are for our pets to keep them happy and healthy!
Nails that are too long are at risk of being torn off, which of course is painful and may require veterinary care if it’s serious enough. Longer nails also make it harder for pets to walk around comfortably. When their nails hit the floor it puts more pressure on the nail bed which can cause discomfort that forces your pet to distribute their weight differently while they walk, which can affect the way their toe and paw joints are aligned. It can also help protect our floors and furniture.
My goal is for both you and your pet(s) to feel calm and comfortable during my in-home pawdicures. I do my very best to make it a pawsitive experience — a calm voice, a bit of distraction and some patience makes a HUGE difference!
If you’re in Annapolis Valley and interested in my services, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I offer fair pricing and flexible appointment times.
