WHY DO I REQUIRE HOMEVISITS PRIOR TO PET SITTING YOUR ANIMALS?

As you can imagine or know, your pet may be/is territorial and protective of your home, you, and your family. Having a home visit no more then a couple days before your trip allows me and your animals to meet. This allows them to get my scent and see me as non threatening towards you, them, and their home. Scared and more aggressive behaviors come out if I'm a total stranger trying to enter their home on day 1, so home visits are my way to prevent that AND THEY WORK! It also gives us a chance to meet face to face and discuss things like home entry, their normal care routines, any meds. Etc..plus we use this visit to pay the first half due at that time and sign paperwork granting me permission to enter the home for those dates to care for the pet(s). Its just a great way to keep your pets calm and cozy while your away by getting off to a good start.

AGAIN I am usually book extremely fast and somewhat far out so I'm trying to keep everyone informed on my availability as it books. Here is what I have left now for the next few weeks. I only take 4 households at a time to ensure all animals are properly cared for. I can take on extras depending on type of sit and details.

Not to mention how hard it can be to find sitters for your chickens and horses.
I offer IN HOME PET SITTING (NO BOARDING OR STAY OVERS). I have extensive references and take all breeds of dog/cats and have experience with horses, goats, chickens and pigs. I have med passing experience and accept all payment forms. Each pet sit comes with daily photos as a visit log and a detailed home visit for us to meet and me to meet your animals prior to your needed dates. I book super fast and only care for 4 families at a time to ensure all animals are properly cared for in a timely manner. THIS IS MY "FUR"ever JOB AND NOT JUST A HOBBY, which means I take it very seriously.

I service Napoleon, Jackson, Grass Lake, Pleasant Lake, Vandercook, Brooklyn MOST SURROUNDING AREAS. I can sometimes accommodate farther out depending on length of trip and needs. Thats why its important to send exact address with pet info and dates needed so I can evaluate if I can accommodate your animals and/or properly calculate all that I need to for an appropriate estimate.

If your looking for a great Volunteer opportunity, please consider volunteering to help out the Veteran Service Dogs Organization in Howell, MI. Please see flyer for contact details and a QR code for their volunteer application. This organization is the same one me, Scott Cook and hundreds more veterans have gotten service dogs through. Always happy faces and friendly atmosphere. They are in need of more volunteers.

Don't forget to donate gently used items or purchase new items from the donate list for the supply drive to help out Veteran Service Dogs Organization supply essential items to their Veteran/Dog teams. These items help ease each team into a training together. More information on the attached flyer as well as drop off locations.

Announcement 📣

Due to rapidly changing family circumstances and a move to Howell area I have to transition to a more selective booking. This means I'll be taking on less clients then before and can only do it more as a hobby now instead of my full time job. That being said I'll still be posting my availability as it occurs. Instead of 4 slots per week I'm down to just 2 slots per week to book families on weeks I'm available.

I want to thank all my repeat clients that kept me full time employed all year the last 2/3 years. Thank you for trusting me with your pets and the care of your farm animals. I hope to continue to see some of you if you need me in my available time.
