Take your time!

No matter how big your puppy is, Like Callie here , a puppy needs to learn at pace that works for them. No two pups are the same and will need a strong foundation to learn. We start training at 8 weeks to help that foundation get started.

Callie is a Mastiff mix and looks like a adult dog, but she is just a cuddle puppy.

PLEASE READ

“He can’t be trained”, “ He is to aggressive and may have to be put down”.

We first meet Bolt as a 6 month old pup with aggressive behavior and impulse issues. He was charging and barking at every moving thing. We did a In Home Evaluation with the owners and recommended a program that would help balance him out and understand how to interact within his pack, while also describing to the owners the importance of them learning how to use a leash to communicate with him to help establish a fair but firm leadership role. The owners decided to try instead a board and train program with not one, but two other trainers for a “more reasonable Price”.

The above comments about Bolt came from them after less then a week at each. No one could touch him, he attacked other dogs and cats, and refused to function when trained.

These pictures are after a 1 hour workout. We never use prong collars, shock collars, or treats. We don’t bully, intimidate, or ask for submission. We don’t care about what he is doing, we care about why. Then we use nothing more then a leash and a collar to help dogs like Bolt to understand what we are asking and we reward that behavior. Bolt isn’t perfect after 1 day, but imagine where he will be after a week or so. Good luck Bolt!!!

Sometimes even we get caught in a moment thatcatchs is off guard.

Visiting a client at a private dog park offered a unique opportunity. Nothing will make you feel more humble then catching a glimpse of the start of it all. We got a chance to spend sometime with this beautiful girl, a Wolf Hybrid, and it really is a surreal experience that touches a point in time that reminds you how we may not have been alone in the woods.
