Hi! I'm a 1yo rescue kitty in Oklahoma. In April '20 I was diagnosed with FIP. By Oct I finished my treatment. Now I'm cured of the awful disease!

Morning everyone! This month I'm turning 4! Quite the change since getting so sick this time 3yrs ago. Now I'm doing great, weighing in around 12ish pounds and I spend most evenings wrestling with my doggie sister, a 7-8lb yorkie who just turned 1yo. Had a check up at the vet several months ago now, and aside from some redness in my gums (he said it was common in cats with a viral load) he said he'd never know I was once in such bad shape. 🥰
Quick drop in, I'm still doing fine! 😻 Had a check up at the vet today (3yo now) and he said I'm doing great! He didn't give any shots today, which is fine since I'm a strictly indoor kitty. The only thing he said we should keep an eye on is that my gums are a little red. But mama is changing my diet to a more appropriate one for my carnivorous self, and said she will start to teach me to let her brush my teeth. 😳 The vet was so happy to see me doing well 2 years after my supposed death sentence diagnosis of FIP. 💖

It's now officially been over a year since we completed my observation period after treatment and I'm still doing purrrfectly great! Here's a quick video of some evening cuddles with mama that she just took. 💖🥰
Good morning everyone! I'm still out here purring along wonderfully. One of my human brothers broke his arm while playing a couple of weeks ago, so I've been on extra cuddle duty. It's almost been a whole year now since I've been considered cured of FIP! I'm so super glad that my mama found out about the "secret" medicine. 💖💖

Mama and the boys went on vacation recently, and even though a good friend came by to give me my food and some pettin's ever day while they were gone, I really missed them. I didn't want to get off of Mama's lap once they came home. 😹
There were some thunderstorms last night, so we had the windows open before the heat came up much this morning. Mama tried to get a good picture of me laying in the window watching the birds, but being the little turd that I am I kept getting up when she came in to take it. 😽
Hey all! Just dropping in to say hi. Mom got me one of those floppy fish toys this week, and it took me a couple of days to figure out just what I'm supposed to do with it. But I got it this morning! 😹 Wrestling with this thing is kinda fun. 😸
Happy Easter to my fellow FIP warriors! Mama said something about treats in these eggs, but all I smell is chocolate and jelly beans that my human brothers gobbled up. Not even *any* catnip! What a disappointment... 😹😽

I'm still out here kicking around. 😸 One of my favorite places to sit and hang out lately is mom's plant table. I really have no interest in the plants themselves, much to mom's appreciation. The odd sniff here and there, sometimes I'll nibble on the tip of an aloe leaf though. We've brought out some extra blankets around the apartment as the weather gets colder, and I find it's fun to burrow under the layers sometimes. 😹

It's been about a month since I graduated and was considered cured of FIP. Mom weighed me this morning, and I'm now 11.27lbs. 😳 Such a huge difference from my lowest 6.5ish pounds back in April!
Super duper windy outside here today, I like to sit in the windows and watch the leaves blowing around. 😺
Modeling my new bow tie collar, the old grey one was getting a bit too frayed mom says. 😻
Hey, psst... Guess what? I'm officially considered cured! Yesterday was the last day of my observation and I'm still doing purrrfectly. 😸 On to the rest of my life adventures!
Getting closer! Oct 11th is my official "graduation" date, and I'm still gaining weight, up to 10.72 # now. Here I am letting my 7yo brother give me some cuddles when he was a little upset over something last weekend. 💕

I know I haven't been posting much, but I'm still here! Mama weighed me this morning and I am now 10.56lbs, tomorrow makes 8weeks into the 12 for this observation time. She says I'm still going great and being more of a stinker than ever. 😹😽
Tomorrow makes me 6wks through observation phase after completing treatment. That's halfway! Usually if there is a relapse then it happens in the first 30 days, so we are hoping that I'm in the clear. Then, come mid-October I'll be considered cured of FIP! 🎉
I'm still kicking along! A month into my 3mo observation, and mom says she read that most relapses occur in the first 30 days, so hopefully it's smooth sailing. Neither of us liked the whole shot every night routine. Mom weighed me this evening and I'm just shy of 10lbs now (9.988) Yay me!! 😻
3wks of 12 down for our observation time and I'm doing great! Mom says I'm much more entertaining to watch now that I ever have been before. 😹
Almost 2wks down of observation, and still gaining weight. Nearly 9.5 # now! 😻
Well, mom says we did it! We made it through 84 days of injections. Now we start another 84 days of observation. Assuming this crud doesn't relapse on me, in mid October I will be considered cured of FIP! 💗
Had my 10wk blood work done at vet's today. The first thing the Dr said when he took me out of my crate was that I looked like a normal cat! 😺 Considering that the last time he saw me was just before I began treatment, this is huge! Results came back as pretty much normal all across the board. So that means that including tonight I have only 12 more of these nasty shots to put up with. Then it's on to the (hopefully uneventful) next 12 weeks of observation. Assuming that I pass all of that, I'll be officially considered cured of the dreaded FIP!! 😻
Including tonight, we have only 14 shots left. 2 more weeks. Then we head into a hopefully uneventful 12 more weeks of observation. 😽
I love my mama, even if I don't really like all these dang shots. She says tonight was no.60, only about 3 weeks left of this nonsense hopefully. 💗

Last night was shot no.51, only 33 left! That means that mama will need to buy 8 more vials of my medicine to reach the end of treatment. Please can you help us cover the cost?
Assuming all goes well, and blood tests in a couple of weeks are good, it looks like July 19th should be my last shot and then we will begin the observation time for another 12 weeks. Once that's over with hopefully no hiccups, I'll be officially considered cured of the nasty FIP!
