🎊🎊🎊250🎊🎊🎊

During our recent SpayDay, we realized we forgot to share an important milestone: over the past two years, we have successfully spayed and neutered 250 cats. While this number may not rival that of larger organizations, it is a significant achievement for a one-woman project, made possible by the incredible support of our community.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all who have helped us reach this point. Please continue to support this essential mission.

Every time we speak about spay/abort, we experience a certain backlash from people driven by their personal beliefs.

It's disheartening that this important issue is so controversial. The primary aim is to alleviate suffering among street animals, which isn't feasible if we continue to add more cats through breeding.

Just as every purchased animal supports a shelter death, every purposefully bred cat displaces another homeless cat in need. The reality is we have an overwhelming number of cats needing homes but limited resources like fosters, finances, spay/neuter appointments, time, and space in rescues. Opting to birth a cat means denying that opportunity to cats already struggling on the streets, waiting for rescue.

While it's not pleasant to perform spay/abort procedures, our focus is on the welfare of cats, not personal preferences. It's crucial to spay pregnant cats as soon as possible to prevent further suffering and overcrowding.

The decision to perform these procedures is rooted in empathy and practical case management, driven by the harsh realities we witness daily.

Let's tackle some feline math. 🧮

If we have 9 unspayed female cats, each giving birth to around 4 kittens, and this cycle repeats in a few months, then factoring in subsequent generations' mating... How many cats would we end up with❔

Comment your answers below. ⬇️

By spaying these 9 cats, we ensure there are only 9 cats in the end. Additionally, we provide them with proper care and support.

Join us in advocating for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives; it's a crucial step in preventing long-term sorrow.

You can make a difference today by supporting spaying and neutering efforts:

2️⃣ **PayPal:** Contribute directly via PayPal at [email protected], mentioning "GLUPINA" in the message.

April 4th is World Stray Animals Day, a time for us to contemplate the plight of animals less fortunate than our cherished pets and consider how we can assist them.

Stray animals, whether born in the wild, abandoned, or lost, find themselves without a home through no fault of their own. These animals confront daily challenges such as disease, accidents from traffic or other animals, intentional or accidental poisoning, hunger, and harsh weather conditions, leading to significantly shorter lifespans compared to cared-for pets.

On this occasion, it's crucial to reflect on actionable steps to aid stray animals. The most impactful measure we can take is to spay and neuter them, a straightforward yet immensely beneficial action. Kittens, for instance, can be safely desexed as early as eight weeks, preventing unintended litters and the cycle of breeding that exacerbates their population. By collectively participating in initiatives like Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), we can contribute to reducing the number of homeless kittens and make life more manageable for our stray companions. Your support in continuing our TNR efforts is vital in this endeavor.

🌟🐾 Embracing New Perspectives in Cat Rescue: My Third Certificate from Community Cats Podcast 🐾🌟

I am thrilled to share that I've just completed the Return-to-Home Certification Workshop offered by the Community Cats Podcast , marking my third certificate from this invaluable resource. 🎓

This experience has been truly transformative, urging me to rethink the way we approach cat rescue, especially in regions like ours, where traditional methods fall short and perpetuate rather than solve the problem. 💡

In many third-world countries, the conventional approach to cat rescue simply isn't sufficient; it often fails to address the root causes of the issue and inadvertently perpetuates the cycle of suffering. That's why it's crucial for us to seek out new perspectives and innovative solutions, such as the Return-to-Home approach championed by Community Cats Podcast.

I'm deeply grateful for the scholarship I received for this session, thanks to Maddie's Fund. 🙏 Their support has opened doors for me and countless others, allowing us to challenge the status quo and make a meaningful difference in the lives of community cats. 🐈💕

The Return-to-Home is a game-changer in cat rescue, and have equipped me with invaluable knowledge and practical skills for safely and effectively implementing this approach, and I am eager to apply what I've learned to make a positive impact in my community. 🏡🐾

As I reflect on this journey of learning and growth, I am reminded of the power of education to ignite change and create a brighter future for all beings. Thank you to the Community Cats Podcast for providing such an enriching learning experience, and to Maddie's Fund for their unwavering support. Let's continue advocating for the well-being of community cats and working towards a world where every cat has a safe and loving home. 🌍💖

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey with me. Your encouragement, support, and shared passion for animal welfare inspire me every day. Let's keep learning, growing, and making a difference, one cat at a time. 🐾✨

**Attention Cat Lovers! Are Your Good Deeds Putting Cats at Risk?**

Community cats, the stealthy masters of invisibility, rely on the shadows to thrive. Yet, haphazard feeding can inadvertently shine a spotlight on them. Your compassionate gestures may inadvertently endanger these feline friends if you feed them without a strategic plan.

**Why Invisible is Safer**

Visible colonies spell trouble. Regular feeding routines make cats more conspicuous as they become accustomed to daytime meals. Increased visibility attracts attention, leading to the unwanted accumulation of spontaneous feeders and discarded food containers. This newfound awareness can prompt land and business owners to take action, potentially displacing the cats and disrupting their caretaking arrangements.

**Taking Action**

Prevention is key to safeguarding our feline companions. If you're providing sustenance to a cat colony, follow these guidelines:

1. **Choose Discreet Locations:** Opt for secluded feeding spots away from prying eyes.

2. **Camouflage Feeding Stations:** Conceal feeding containers to blend seamlessly with the surroundings.

3. **Maintain Cleanliness:** Always remove empty dishes or cans promptly to minimize visual cues.

4. **Portion Control:** Dispense just enough food for one meal to prevent attracting unwanted wildlife like rodents and foxes.

5. **Spay/Neuter:** Ensure all cats in the colony are spayed or neutered to prevent unwanted attention and maintain colony stability.

By adhering to these practices, we can ensure the well-being and longevity of our beloved community cats. Together, let's continue to champion Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives for a brighter, safer future for all felines. 🌟🐱
