We offer Whelping Design and Consultation, Dog whelping, puppy rearing, and puppy placement assistance.

After a long 22 hour whelp, we have 10 strong and healthy babies! We have a checkup scheduled with the Veterinarian this morning, and are looking forward to everyone (mom, pups and humans) hopefully getting a little more rest. It was a long and hard whelp, but it was totally worth the work!

Want to know how we make puppy gruel?

Smoothie blender.
Mom's kibble.
Formula.
NuPro.
Filtered water.
Use smoothie blender to blend into a melted milkshake consistency.
Pour into dish.
Wait a few minutes and let firm up a little.
Feed to pups.

You can use whatever ingredients you may like. Point being, smoothie blender, milkshake consistency.
We start gruel around pups 3 weeks age.

This is generally how our evenings go around here. Everyone gets fed (puppies mush and mom her dinner), mom enjoys some time with the babies, and I get the kennel set for bedtime. This is my favorite part of the day as this is when the babies are fairly calm and loving, so I can just sit with them and give some snuggles.
