Thor is home recovering. He’s holding his favorite toy (a possum) ❤️ Everything went well 🙏🏻 no complications of any kind. He’s a bit groggy (expected due to anesthesia) he’ll need 24/7 care for the next weeks. I’m not posting a picture of his right side because it’s heartbreaking 🥺 might be sensitive to some people. Thanks to everyone for your support, prayers, messages and, donations (we are still accepting donations) Us as pawrents are emotionally a disaster 😭 but ok otherwise.

(En español hasta abajo 😊) It’s been so busy lately that I’ve been meaning to post an update on Thor for days. He’s doing really good. His wound is healing nicely. He’s eating. Wanting to play with Troy (which he can’t yet). He figured how to go under our bed wearing that big cone around his head 😆 (both Troy and Thor sleep under our bed) he’s so smart! And he’s such a good doggie. Compliant with his meds, accepting his temporary routine. We take off the cone several times during the day (under our supervision) so he can scratch, lick, you know, do stuff that dogs do 😊 Stitches come off next Monday. It’s still very difficult for me. I’m still trying to accept and adapt. It makes me so sad to see him, talk about it, or think about it 🥺I know it was the best thing for him… I guess it’ll just take some time 😞 Thanks again to all my family and friends who have been so supporting 💕 He querido ponerlos al día en la recuperación de Thor, pero he estado tan ocupada que no había podido. Thor está muy bien, su herida se está sanando bien. Se ve contento, quiere jugar con Troy pero aún no puede hasta que le quiten los puntos (próximo Lunes se lo quitan). Tiene puesto un cono alrededor de su cabeza para proteger su herida. A pesar de eso, el buscó la manera de como meterse bajo nuestra cama (a Troy y Thor les gusta dormir abajo de nuestra cama) es tan inteligente! 😊 Es tan buen perrito ❤️ le quitamos el cono varias veces durante el día (bajo nuestra supervisión) para que pueda arrascarse, lamer sus patitas, ya saben, las cosas que hacen los perritos. Aún es muy difícil para mi, aún me pongo triste cuando lo veo, o pienso en el 🥺 se que fue lo mejor… me imagino que con el tiempo se me pasará … Gracias a toda mi familia y amigos por su apoyo 💕
