Ana (Annie) was born and raised in Rio Grande Puerto Rico and while growing up she developed a passion for Puerto Rico music and dancing culture. She traveled the globe as part of the Puerto Rico National Folklore and JC International representing the island in Europe, Middle east, Asia, EU, and Latin America. unning her own Real Estates business, Hecoproperties in PR. Her passion for rescuing sparked when she spotted a very ill dog in a parking mall running through the cars. Her name was Dulce, she was part of our family until 2021 when she pass. Ana has demonstrated her commitment to animal welfare through education by assisting thru the years to Best Friends Animal Society, Human Society, Caribbean Animal Welfare, Helen Woodward Convention, among others. She puts her commitment to action presenting cases of animal abuse to the authorities in PR obtaining fines and prosecution of the abuser. She was also member of the board of Animal Protection Federation of PR. Ana has been rescuing, transporting, and developing relationships with independent rescuers and animal welfare organizations during the last 10 years. Knowing and understanding the lack of alternatives for our dearly Satos in the island and experiencing the challenges to find the right family for them in PR she decides to start building a dream to find partners in the states that embraces the desire to save lives through adoptions. Ana is a vegetarian and strongly believes that every animal has the right to be respected and to live a happy and healthy live as part of our society and that the only way to achieve this is through education and action. Ana Lives in Dorado, PR with her loving Texas husband Jeff Willenberg. She belongs to a group of living donors by donating a kidney to Jeff on 2012. Six rescued pets accompany their lives, 3 cats and 3 dogs.
