We cannot let the day pass without wishing our a happy, happy birthday! There is no doubt that this is the most somber - Peppy was a faithful and loving friend to right up to the very end. He has mourned his friend over the past two weeks. If you know Peppy, you know he is opinionated and it has been very sad to have such a quiet old man at feeding time. We certainly love this big guy! Happy 27th birthday, Peppy!

The Best Horses in Heaven, They Have No Tail

The best horses in Heaven they have no tail. This is a rule they all know without fail. For when a new horse arrives with a short cut bob, they all know that this horse did a very good job.

His owner could not bear to part with her friend so she saved his tail, wrapped in ribbons and in braids, to hold with his memory in a very loving way.

To enter Heaven without a tail is an honor, a message, that without fail announces to everyone, far and wide that this horse was more than a wonderful ride.

But this horse was loved and cherished by one and when his time serving on this Earth was done he left behind a broken heart and a soul from which he never will part.

⛈ Our farm was hit pretty hard by what is believed to be 80mph straight-line winds during Monday's storm. 💨 is willing to assist with clean-up duties, though! If only she would take the stick to the pile! 🤣 We are loving this . 🥰 She will make someone a great ranch horse one day! 🐮 🐎

We are way behind on media and have not posted how well our riders/horses performed at the Georgia 4-H State Horse Show earlier this summer. Finally sat down to put a compilation of 's runs together. Cami and Kaleigh qualified for the 2023 Southern Regionals with their performance, ending up 6th Overall for the Junior Division. They won Stake Race, placed 3rd in Arena, and 10th in Cones (would have won it too but caught a cone). Their times for Poles and Cloverleaf would have had them placing as well. Cami may not be a "spring chicken" anymore, but she LOVES her job. She's the best on the planet! 🥰 Good luck to these two as they continue their journey!

says we are soaring into the weekend! We are so thankful to have a horse who loves her job, takes it seriously and gives students many "firsts." See No has been a "first lope" and "first jump" this week, which she LOVES! She can be a quirky mare, but she was so excited to fly over a few jumps! We're very proud of the young ladies who stepped out of their comfort zone this week too!

We had a good time playing around with English on our western horses today... some of who were less graceful than others! This is a pretty good laugh!

YES! Even on rainy days, even on hot days, even on windy days, even on cold days, even on perfect days...the back of a horse is a wonderful place! What makes it even better, is riding a horse that carries the brand - which these all do! 😍 Can you name the three horses in this picture?!? Can you name the horses in this picture who were trained?!? We really do love being able to breed, raise and train our own horses. To watch young people enjoying our horses makes it even more special. Must be doing something right! 🥰

We are so proud of these two young ladies who competed in the Georgia 4-H State Horse Show Demonstration Contest. They also competed in the Horse Category at 4-H District Project Achievement. Both of their demonstrations were inspired by real events at . We’re glad the farm can be so educational! Great work, ladies!

reminded me that we forgot to wish a happy one month of life! Everything has been so busy lately, we let this little guy's first 6 weeks slip right on by... He is growing and anxiously awaiting some play mates this spring/summer. We love watching his flying lead changes with perfectly loped circles. He is such a handsome little dude!

We’ve neglected this handsome guy and not shared enough of him on Facebook! We finally settled on his name being “Zephyr,” which means “breeze from the west” or in Greek mythology could be the “God of the west wind.” was born on a very windy 🌬 day and we hope he loves the wind through his mane and tail as he lopes and gallops in the future. He is growing and developing his personality.

Congratulations to the owner of COOL WYNTER RAE who checked in foal to THG ZZ FAMOUS BUG this week for a 2024 foal! This is going to be an exciting cross to see. We have not met a foal by ZZ yet that we do not love. Breeding season and foaling season is exhausting and exhilarating! The wait begins - only 10 months to go from here!

We're so excited to spend a week with campers and horses again this year for our 4th Annual Horse Camp! Camp is suitable for beginners, as well as advanced riders.
