This is Norman, a 2-year-old, spayed female, albino Netherland Dwarf rabbit. She is also RHDV2 vaccinated.

Norman is an energetic, sassy, little lady who enjoys company on her own terms. Her ideal person or family will help her reach her full potential on her quest for world domination. 😉 But she’d settle for a home for the holidays. *Insert cute, little, red, hopeful stare*

In all seriousness, Norman is very tiny, but packed with “a whole lotta attitude,” and she would be perfect for a person or family who gives her the time and understanding she needs, while getting a kick out of her silly little antics.

A big problem we’ve seen over the last few years is dumped pet rabbits. Maude here (swipe to see her progression) was living outdoors on her own for at least half the year. By the time she was captured, she was very thin, covered in ticks and gaping wounds and abscesses from a probable dog attack. Domestic rabbits do not belong outside, especially on their own. Miss Maude is all fixed up now and ready to go home. She is perfectly potty trained and loves the dog in her foster home, although she may prefer to be your only bunny in an adult home. Maude update! Her injuries have all been cleaned. The large tumor-like lump on her back was an abscess that has to be opened and drained while she was anesthetized. She’s been treated for parasites and is on antibiotics. She’s in foster now being loved and fattened up!

We know these images are tough to look at, but not all of rescue is cute and fluffy.

This sweet lop girl arrived late last night. She had been spotted hopping around as a stray for months. It’s a wonder she’s even alive, but she has not survived unscathed. She’s at the vet now being evaluated.

I spent nearly two hours picking off dozens of ticks and cleaning out multiple festering wounds, possibly a dog attack. She’s skin and bones. She sat through all of this with such patience when she must be in great pain.

If you feel moved to donate toward her vet bills, I’ve included the link to our donation page. Let us know it’s for Maude, which means “powerful battler.” We hope she can continue to fight and that her condition is treatable.
