Lost our baby yesterday.

We don't really know what else to say, other than we're going to miss our son.

We're going to miss the whiffling and huffling, his little nose always going. We're going to miss holding him and letting stress melt away. My scarves won't have a rider in them anymore, come fall. We won't have a buddy to take backstage, or to the office, or to teach with me. Going to miss everything.

There's no good way to lose someone, but at least it was after a long life full of adventures and huffles.

Still.

Our traditional belated birthday post! Hashbrown turned 3 on this past Saturday.

Update on Hashbrown!
Not how we really wanted to spend his 3 year checkup, but we'll go with it. Hashbrown is home with some antibiotics and pain meds, to see if the bump/spot/thing on his snout will go away that way. If it does, it was basically a hedge-zit, and our best case scenario.
If it DOESN'T go down, we're either looking at an impacted/infected tooth (surgery), or possibly a tumor. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
Hashbrown doesn't seem too bothered, as usual - not much bothers him. He's got a great appetite and wants to run on his wheel, just as normal.

Spare a thought and a prayer for Hashbrown if you can. Looks like he'll be a one-eyed hedgehog pretty soon. Hoping for no further complications.
