Im Nicki....and i've been treating dogs with kindness for over 20 years! Since I was young I’ve loved animals — both learning about and taking care of them. I began working as a kennel assistant at my local dog rescue centre after passing my National Diploma in Animal Management back in 2002. I have since spent around 13 years working in veterinary practices with various roles - from patient care
assistant, dispensary and reception work. My main passion is dog welfare and in 2017 I went back to my roots- working as a kennel supervisor for a large animal charity. It was there I gained invaluable experience working with traumatised, under socialised dogs who needed rehabilitation, guidance and above all else, love. During my time there- I have helped to rehabilitate and rehome 497 dogs! I am currently studying to become a Canine Science Behaviourist through The School of Canine Science, and have undertaken various other training and behaviour courses over the years. I am fully insured for dog walking, pet sitting and dog training. I also hold a first aid certificate and I am DBS checked.
The second “R” in R&R passed away last night. Ripley you were the bestest boy & I learnt so much from you on our reactive journey together. A pain in the bum at times, but every day you filled our lives with love and laughter.
We’ve gone from two dogs, to none, in the space of 8 months. You’re now reunited with Roxy ♥️

Delighted to announce that I have now completed my course and I am now a Canine Reactivity Specialist via the Dog Training College 😃

Today Bobby and I have been to the woods! 🪵
A lovely Friday treat for us both as we only usually get to spend half an hour together on our walks 💙
He had such a great time zooming round and enjoying all the new sniffs!

Gorgeous Delta on her 1:1 training session this afternoon! Delta is a rescue and has been in her new home for a couple of weeks now, and her owners needed some support with a couple of issues to help her flourish. We covered:
✅ Loose lead walking
✅ Mouthing
✅ Mental enrichment
✅ Promoting calmness
✅ Jumping up
✅ Integrating her around the resident cats 🐈
A lot to go through and take in but she’s a bright, chatty girl who will do amazing 💓

A big welcome to Gus, who passed his assessment walk this morning with flying colours! He is an absolute delight and I can’t wait to get to know him and introduce him to some new friends! 💙

Here’s a little cutie to cheer us all up on this rainy day!
This is Bobby, a 15 week old Chihuahua cross Pug who had a puppy consult this week.
His owner needed support on toilet training and mouthing - which he does a lot of! He’s a little livewire and he will be joining the R&R gang for walks and enrichment pop ins so you’ll be seeing a lot more of this cutie in the coming weeks! 💙
A couple of slots have become available on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday for dog walking.
These slots are for dogs that are sociable around other canines and are walked in a small group.
There is also a solo slot free after 2pm on these days too.
I am fully insured and DBS checked with over 22 years of professional experience working with dogs, and hold various training qualifications; so rest assured your dog is in caring, capable hands.

⭐️ Superstar Pumba ⭐️ I’ve been working with this lovely lad for a couple of months now. We have been taking it slow and steady as he has some negative associations around his harness and also finds it hard to trust new people in the house. Building up positive experiences through play and treats has helped massively and today I managed to get his harness on fully and go for a walk 😁 So very proud of you Pumba 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
On our walkies today we bumped into Steve from Beeston Petcare. Whisky had so much fun sprinting around and playing with Zack! Just look at him go! 👀🤣
These three had so much fun this afternoon! Maeve bless her was trying her best to keep up with Cooper the Spaniel 🤣💖

Today I had a one on one training session with the beautiful Aurora! 🧡 Aurora is an assistance dog in training, and her owner just needed a little extra support with lead walking. After the initial excitement she soon understood what was being asked of her… just look at the video! Mr Slobber Chops AKA Barney! Barney is one of my regulars and suffers from epilepsy. He was also starved of oxygen when he was born, meaning he doesn’t have great coordination or awareness (hence the trailing lead- as he does like to wander off in his own little world) His most favourite thing to do is amble around the local park on the lookout for bird feathers 🪶 There are worse things to try and eat I guess?! 🤣
Today is one half of the R&R gangs Birthday… big happy 10th Birthday to Ripley! 🥳🎉🎊 Him and his big sis, Roxy, celebrated in style with the world record of cake eating in three seconds 🤣
Another hot and humid day today 😩 That doesn’t stop Ripley enjoying his paddling pool though 😂 I think I need to invest in a bigger one for him!!
