You can help the millions of dogs in shelters, rescues, foster, despair, fear and misery.

- SHARE via text, email, social platforms

- VOLUNTEER your talents for the rescue, foster parents, shelter... walk the pups, send/receive emails, file paperwork, etc.

- GIVE supplies, time or cash... shelters and rescues have wish lists for everyday items like paper towels, old comforters/sheets, cleaners, treats, toys, food

- COLLECT from all your friends & family any gently used items your pup has outgrown - leash/collar, sweater/rain slicker, bed, bowls, harness, toys

- CRAFT toys, housing, clothing, etc. with your creative skills

- PLAN a fundraiser at the church, restaurant, park, winery...

German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County is hosting a Shoe Drive to raise funds for our amazing pups in need! 🐶🧡

Here’s how you can help:
✔️ Donate your gently used shoes – any style, any size!
✔️ Every pair helps us provide food, medical care, and love for our shepherds.

📅 First Drop off Date: February 22nd

Want to donate to something that has a clear, immediate impact? For (and really any day) donations make all the difference for Anson County Animal Shelter/Friends of Anson County (501c3 nonprofit). Donations and funds raised are the difference between life and possible death for our shelter animals, the difference between an animal getting the vet care they need or not, the difference between being able to transport them north to rescue or not. Donations allow us to care for, vet, and move our animals out to organizations with better opportunities. Your money literally saves lives and goes directly to positive outcomes for our animals!

Donations to Friends of Anson County go towards…
💉 Intake and Preventative Vet Care (vaccines, dewormer, flea/tick prevention, etc)
🚨 Emergency vet care when an animal comes in significantly injured or sick (we often receive dogs hit by cars or shot)
🥘 Daily meals, holiday meals, and treats including special diets for dogs who come in underweight or sick
🧠 Enrichment activities like water/pool time, lick mats, music time, and other stimulating additions.
👶🏽 Spay/neuter costs— all dogs must be spayed/neutered before adoption
🎾 Toys for play time! So many of our dogs love to play with toys and come alive when given the opportunity.
🚗 Transport Expenses to get our dogs to rescue with other organizations— this includes us driving our dogs which requires gas funds, maintenance on the shelter van, or paying a transport company to take them which can be around $150 an animal.
🥰 General animal well being as they wait for their forever families!
