With Summer nearly upon us, we would like to remind everyone to take extra care with your dogs!
The pavement outside can get up to 125 degrees Fahrenheit on a sunny day in the seventies. However, on a day like today with temps reaching 95 degrees, that pavement can reach all the way up to 150 degrees!! It goes without saying that pavement hot enough to cook an egg on would injure your dog's pads. That's why there are dog booties for both summer and winter. Today we are remembering a dog very special to our founder's heart. Ajax was his first pet and was a beautiful West Highland Terrier. Always scrounging for scraps of food and chasing after toys. He was the first to welcome guests to the Bed and Breakfast he grew up in and could bring a smile to any face.
