Due to this sudden heat wave I will probably hand raise the other 4 left. Unfortunately lost 3 of the fresh hatchlings with this heat. I certainly want to get the parents out of the boxes for their health too. Definitely my last breeding for the year.

My work life has changed, meaning I won’t have the ability to raise as many babies at once due to me work longer hours. I put a lot of time into the birds so you get a proper handraised bird.
I am still breeding and handraising, it just means I will be handraising less at once. If you are wanting a bird it just means you may need to be patient and wait until they are ready, but like any pet you get waiting should be ok no one should get a pet on impulse.
So please if you are thinking you may want to add to your family send me a message and I’ll keep you updated with what parents are breeding and when they are born

Budgies are not the only birds we have in our home.
Meet Ajax. He is a 1 year old Indian ringneck. We have handraised him since he was 4 weeks old. He is a loving bird with loads of personality. Indian ringnecks are not a first time bird. They can very difficult at times in their first year and when this happens people will rehome them thinking they are nasty or untame, leading to the amount of ringnecks in rescues looking for homes. As you can see it’s so rewarding.
Like any animal always consider yours And the birds needs. Do you have the time and patience for a bird?

Budgies need a variety in their diet. Seed only diets can lead to health issues in budgies such as liver or kidney disease.
I feed my birds a mixture of of broccoli, kale, beetroot,celery, carrot, zucchini, cauliflower, baby spinach, rocket. It varies week to week depending what is available. I always prepare it when I do my shopping adding all the scraps so nothing goes to waste.
I also feed food in chunks and place around the aviaries. Great stimulation for them.
Even if you have an older bird it’s never to late to start them on fresh food

There is always one in every lot that just loves cheeky. Cheeky is a 22 year old Alexandrine parrot. He has always been a fan of other birds from afar!! He is slowly getting better as long as they sit still!!
