I have these little guys soon to be available. All hand-raised. Excuse the messy photos they had just eaten

These will be my last budgies. I am moving on from budgies for a while to concentrate on my parrots. This has not been an easy decision and I will miss them terribly. Hand-raising them is a lot of work and some people don’t seem to understand which has lead to me being frustrated and disheartened with the way I have been treated. They might be “just” a budgie but they take more work than parrots and they are amazing little pets.

Smokey’s loves watching SP Rocket dance and sing the cookie song. A song he has mastered himself and I wake to every morning.

His excitement when I put it on the TV instead of my mobile was real 🤣🤣

They make the thought of having to get ready to go to work really suck!! Loving my warm little snuggles in this weather.

Onlypurchased in January this year for $500 not assembled

Dimensions are 810 x 560 x 1330
Or 1590 for the total height to the perch

It would not be suitable for budgies but if anyone has a parrot it would be great.

Just an update for everyone!

To those that have messaged I apologize if I haven’t responded life has been so hectic lately.

The weather patterns we have had this year with the hot days not ending, have delayed the start of the breeding season for the budgies.

With the forecast of this rain I have today put some birds in the breeding boxes. I will get photos of the pairs soon. To see the progress the page will will be the best place as I will post photos on here. This delay will mean it will more then likely be mid June before I will have any bubbas, I apologize but my birds welfare is my priority.

Cheeky agreeing with me over a rubbish call in the footy. We rescued gizzy 4 weeks ago, he can not fly due to the worst hack job on his wings I have ever seen. What goes into hand raising? ALOT of time. Here is a Timelapse of me feeding them. How long it takes and how offten depends on the ages of the birds. At these ages with 10 birds it takes roughly 45 minutes every 4 hours. A bit of a happy video for the night. This is Ajax. He will be 2 in September. He has grown into a very sweet bird. Many people want ringnecks because of videos like this and many others. What you didn’t see was the bluffing (teenage) stage, the bad behaviour, stubbornness and lots more. Ringnecks require a lot of patience time and love and they can be a very rewarding animal. I don’t NOT recommend them for first time bird owners as people that don’t understand the breed quite often give up on them in the bluffing stage and there are so many under 2 in rescues. Don’t forget to keep your birds out of the heat. It’s 🥵 outside and tomorrow is supposed to be worse. Bring them in if you can. In my aviaries I have a misting system set up which keeps their cage cool and they can get under it when they want. Here’s one aviary enjoying it #babybirds #budgiesaustralia #hotdays

Budgies are not the only birds we have in our home. Meet Ajax. He is a 1 year old Indian ringneck. We have handraised him since he was 4 weeks old. He is a loving bird with loads of personality. Indian ringnecks are not a first time bird. They can very difficult at times in their first year and when this happens people will rehome them thinking they are nasty or untame, leading to the amount of ringnecks in rescues looking for homes. As you can see it’s so rewarding. Like any animal always consider yours And the birds needs. Do you have the time and patience for a bird?
