Repost! A couple more weeks of the pet food drive. Donations of unopened pet food can be dropped at 801 Poquonnock Road, Groton, during their business hours 🤗

It's that time of year again! We are holding our annual Pet Food Drive. All donations go to the Groton Social Service Pet Food Bank to distribute to families in need in our community. Small bags and cans are preferred, but ALL donations will be accepted and can be dropped off to our office during business hours. Please, take a minute and go to Elephant Nature Park 's page. I stayed and volunteered at this amazing sanctuary in Thailand in my college years. A couple days ago, it was totally flooded. They have been trying to move all animals to higher ground. Elephants, cows, buffalo have been swept away...and 2 elephants drowned 😭 This sanctuary rescues not only elephants, but they also gave a dog sanctuary, cats, anything! My time there was some of the most special in my life and this is heartbreaking to see 💔 I know we all feel the same about everyone affected in our own country right now by Hurricane Helene, but please consider a donation to help ENP as well! A little help goes a long way, if you can spare it!

Good morning friends and family! As I'm sure everyone is aware, there is a terrible crisis at shelters all across the country, with surrenders and abandonments at an all time high, while adoptions are at an all time low. What that means is that we are full, or close to it, and have dogs here for longer than usual while we try and find them homes. What that also means is that we are going through dog food at a much faster than usual rate, so once again, we are coming to you in the hopes that you can help us fill our food bins. We currently have 14 dogs in the building, plus 8 puppies in foster care. We are all set with puppy food, but the adult food is getting quite low. The dogs are big fans of Pedigree, and we have a bunch of it on our Amazon list, which I'll post below. If you are local, and want to drop off a bag at the shelter, please feel free to do so! The Amazon list makes it a little easier if you aren't close, or are super busy (like the vast majority of us are!). Nana, Adrienne, Brownie, Buffy, Mikka, Sidney, Crosby, Reggie, Frasier, Deuce, Minerva, Boomer, and a couple without names yet thank you all for you generosity!

Just a reminder that Kim's Compassionate Petsitting LLC takes care of more than just dogs and cats! I have cared for people's fish, birds, reptiles, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, etc! Basically, as long as I'm given instructions, I'm comfortable with any animal 😁To note, my petsitters insurance does not cover farm animals (such as the chickens).

With summer coming to an end and school starting, my friend Autumn here (fitting name 😉) wanted to help me say..
I have a couple midday dog walking slots open for WEDNESDAYS & THURSDAYS!
Although I am not doing overnights at this time, just a reminder that I am available for visitations! (Please inquire, as I do have some limitations due to my childcare.)
