A Dog Named Phil is Adopted Phil came to us in May of 2022. The Bull Terrier Rescue Mission, Inc. In all cases, tireless work is gladly expended.

The Mission, is dedicated to advocating for the health and welfare of unwanted, abused, or abandoned Bull Terriers in the United States. (BTR Mission/BTRM) is a 501c3 not for profit, all-volunteer, foster based organization dedicated to advocating for the health and welfare of unwanted, abused, or abandoned Bull Terriers. We work towards extracting them from their dire circumstances and placing th

em in homes where they can be evaluated, allowed to heal, and rehabilitated if necessary. BTRM works with animal shelters, rescue professionals, Bull Terrier owners, and veterinarians throughout the United States. If BTRM cannot provide direct support, cases are directed to appropriate organizations that can. The Bull Terrier Rescue Mission does not discriminate due to the age or health of its Bull Terriers. Professional veterinary care is provided – including spay/neuter – prior to matching each Bull Terrier with the right adoptive home. No animal is euthanized for need of medical care. That option only exists if the animal displays extreme threatening behavior towards humans, or if their health is unrecoverable. If you would like to join us in our goal to help Bull Terriers in need, please visit us at BTRMission.org. There, you can apply to become a foster or adopter, or that you're ready to volunteer for a variety of needs.

Phil is still waiting on his furever home.

A dog named Phil bio:
Phil is one year, DOB 7-15-21
He is neutered
He is negative for heartworm
Up to date on all vaccines
No known health issues
He is house and crate trained
He is decent on leash, he is learning to walk better on leash
Phil LOVES to play fetch, he’s a ball addict! He also loves to tug and chase anything you throw for him.
He’s a typical high energy one year old bull terrier. He would be fine with older kids, he would be too high energy for younger kids.
He is reactive to other dogs when food is around, so he would need to be fed separately.
Phil’s ideal home would be one that is an active home. Walks daily, hiking, going out and doing things. He really enjoys trips to Home Depot and Lowes.

Here’s a link to his Amazon wishlist…he’s on his last bag of dog food

Phil is such a happy guy! Loves toys and knows how to keep himself entertained!

Phil found a cicada and I had to save the poor guy. Luckily for me Phil does not resource guard anything from me. I can take food, toys, and now bugs away from him 🤣

He is reactive to other dogs when he’s being fed…I found this out because dogs have walked by his crate while he’s been eating. I fully believe that dogs should always be fed separate no matter how friendly they are.

Phil and I are thankful for whoever sent the Chuckit off his wishlist! He LOVES to play fetch all day long!

Phil LOVES to fetch!!!! He makes the fetching easy by bringing the ball all the way back and dropping it 💜

Hi I’m Phil!
My original name was Spuds, but apparently there are too many Bull Terriers in rescue with the name Spuds, so now I’m Phil.
I’m a 10 month old good boy. I got loose and someone took me to the Charleston, SC humane society and my people didn’t want me back because it would cost too much for the shelter not to neuter me. So now I’m just in my foster moms house waiting for the perfect family. Apparently she thinks I’m great and wonders why my original owners didn’t want me back.

Phil is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, on prevention, is neutered, and has no known health issues. He currently weighs 48 pounds. He is crate and house trained. He is still being kept separated for a slow intro into his foster home. More updates to come!!
