We headed out for some BD and our first attempt at M73. I only managed to practise the test twice before competing but we scored 65% with a list 1 judge 🙌🏼 This time last year we couldn’t even finish the test as Jack found all the movements close together too tiring. Over the moon with him, especially as competing against Michael Eilberg on a 14.1 connemara was pretty daunting 😂 We obviously didn’t beat him but we also didn’t embarrass ourselves and there’s hopefully still more to come 🤞🏼

Thank you to EquiSports Therapy who came and treated him before the show and he felt fab! 💙

The benefit of competing on grass is a stunning background like this! 😍 It won’t be long till we are back out competing! But in the meantime I had to buy another photo of us qualifying for the nationals! 🙌🏼

Our first go at British Riding Clubs dressage at the stunning Milton Park. I was really worried about dressage on grass as we have hardly any experience other than the odd prelim for eventing. The ground was fantastic and we had a really successful day. 2nd in the elementary with 68.62% and then 1st in the medium with 69.48% from a list one judge! 🙌🏼 There were only two in the class but it’s still a personal best score for us! Looks like we are off to the championships on our first attempt, so exciting!! 🥳

Jack felt really confident and balanced and it feels like all our training at home is paying off. Huge thanks to EquiSports Therapy for keeping him supple and comfortable too! 💪🏼

Oh hey there handsome 😍

We are currently busy working hard on our training at the moment. I can’t wait to get back out competing again, it feels like ages since we have been out! Jack had his teeth checked on Tuesday and he has another massage in for next week to keep him feeling his best 💪🏼

I went to visit Alvin on the weekend and it was so nice to see him settling in. His ridden work is coming on really well too and I’m hoping to have a go at the end of the week 🤞🏼

Hopefully this is the change of scene he needed to help him mature and see the world ♥️

Loved playing groom today for my mums first ever affiliated dressage test. They did really well and I was so proud ♥️ It was so nice to be able to watch Jack competing for a change. I can’t wait to see them out and about again! 🙌

Jack looking super handsome all plaited and ready to head to the Associated Champs! The weather was hugely against us and the warm up arena was flooded so we didn’t get the preparation we needed. With a spooky start he pulled out some great work scoring lots of 7’s and placed 12th out of 27.

I would have loved to have placed higher but so many positives including both judges marking 7 for our medium and extended walk. Two years ago our walk barely existed so I’m so pleased we’ve made such an improvement with it 💪🏼☺️

The fuzzy bear has been clipped! 🐻✂️ For the first time in years I decided to take his legs off and go for the full clip. I’m pretty pleased with how he’s looking and his dapples are back! 😍

We had a mixed weekend at the BD S&E Inter-county Challenge. Jack pulled out what felt like his best ever test on Saturday, he was forward and on the contact and really with me. Sadly the judge didn’t agree to score us 67.07%. However I was still really happy with him placing 19th out of 44.

On Sunday Jack was not best pleased at being woken up early after a late night the day before and came out super grumpy and tight. Scoring our worst score in a very long time!

But that’s horses and we all have our good and bad days! I also loved being part of Team Beds and everyone were so friendly and helpful. Who knows maybe I can get Alvin onto the team next year….

After the success of last week I popped in a last minute entry for the ODE. Both the SJ and XC course were more challenging than last week which was great as I kept us to the 70 again. Jack was a star all day, after a bit of a mean 34.5 dressage score he flew around the SJ and the XC with only 0.8 time faults which is our best time to date! Plus we placed 3rd! 🙌

After a walk off Jack was not puffing and hardly sweated up after the XC so his fitness is improving too 💪🏼

I’m really hoping my little jumping machine is getting back in the game now!🤞🏼

For the first time in over a year we went out for some XC! He wasn’t as confident as I would have hoped but maybe that was a bit down to me too. However we tackled ditches and water with no real push back so that’s a huge improvement!

Our first hire at and loved it, so much variety and amazing ground! Sadly no videos today as we were too busy jumping around!
