Sad news to share. Oliver has passed on 😞 he kept fighting for a year straight while being disabled. I’m glad he’s finally at peace. SIP Oliver 🙏🏼

Last week I had someone reach out to me that needed help with their betta. He had developed dropsy and they needed help with trying to save him. They drove all the way from LA to bring him to me, in hopes he could be saved. So far he is doing well with his healing process and it looks like I was able to reverse his dropsy, as you can see the before (left) and the after (right). He still has a long way to go in his healing journey but so far all he’s been showing is improvements besides his swim bladder issue.
Fingers crossed and prayers that this sweet boy makes it 🙏🏼🩷

I’m currently really in need of Catappa leaves that I use for all the sick bettas.

Most likely going to end up keeping all the bettas in my rescue since most of them have already been with me for a year now. They’re all happy and I don’t want to throw them off from their comfort 🥺 Guess that means I can rescue a couple of bettas soon!

Sad news to share, Blake passed away today. Unfortunately due to overbreeding, he had chronic swim bladder issues. I did what I could to save him but his body gave out. SIP Blake 🥺❤️

Meet Josie, the female betta fish. I rescued Josie after a tragic incident that took place at my job. Someone decided to put her into another tank with 2 other betta fish. I luckily found all the bettas at the right time and they were all safe and recovered. Josie is named after the character Josie Saltzman on Legacies.
Josie is a very happy girl and is very social with people and the bettas around her. Despite her traumatic event, she’s thriving!
Tank requirement: 3-5 gallon filtered and heated tank
Food: pellets
Caring fee: $10

Meet Steve, the halfmoon betta fish. I rescued Steve because he was really stressed and depressed. Since being in my rescue, he’s bounced back and has beautiful fins! Steve is named after the character Steve Harrington on Stranger Things.
Steve is an introvert but can also be really playful! He has a sweet personality and just wants to be loved and cared for. He loves being around people.
Tank requirement: 5 gallon filtered and heated tank
Food: pellets and frozen food
Caring fee: $10

Exciting news to share! George has finally been adopted after being the longest betta in my rescue. I’m so excited for him! 😇🙏🏼 He’ll be in a 5 gallon tank now, yay George!

Meet George, the beautiful veil tail betta fish. I THINK he’s a veil tail but I can’t remember.
I rescued George because he had been in my store for a long time and was becoming depressed. I can’t believe nobody adopted this gorgeous fish!! He’s got such beautiful colors. George is named after the character George Karim in Lockwood & Co.
Since being in my care, George is happy and thriving! He’s such a sweet boy and loves your company! He’s ready for find his forever home ❤️
Food requirement: pellets or frozen food
Tank requirement: 5-10 gallons with heater and filter, and lots of decorations!

Oliver is such a sweet and beautiful boy and I feel so bad for him. (Disclaimer he’s in the cup temporarily as I’m I’m currently doing a water change on his tank)
This poor boy can’t swim properly because his fins are way too big. He spends his whole day laying down on his plant 🥺 I’ve tried everything I could to treat him for swim bladder but it clearly isn’t the issue since this has been on going for several months now. Also have treated for bacterial, fungal, and parasites but they didn’t work since he doesn’t have an infection. He doesn’t have fin rot and doesn’t seem to be super stressed since he still has all his colors and no stress stripes.
I wish I could find a way to make him happier but all I can really do is keep him comfortable and cared for ❤️ He unfortunately cannot be in a big tank with a filter. I currently have him in a wider tank with shorter length and keep the water halfway up, because he has a hard time getting to the surface.
Please let me know if you’re interested in adopting this sweet boy and giving him a loving home for the remainder of his life.

Meet Blake, the handsome Super Delta? betta fish! I rescued Blake a couple months ago because he wasn’t eating anything. I thought he was sick so I tried treating him for infections, but he still wouldn’t eat. I tried feeding him pellets, freeze dried bloodworms, frozen brine shrimp, and flakes. Then one day, 3 weeks later, I bought some freeze dried mysis shrimp and this boy FINALLY ate! He was just being picky 😤 I’m surprised he survived without eating for so long. But rest assured, he’s healthy!
Despite being such a picky eater, Blake LOVES to eat. Eating is his favorite part of the day (as you can tell from his full tummy). His colors are very unique but beautiful. If you’re looking for a spunky fish, Blake definitely is!
Food: freeze dried mysis shrimp ONLY, he won’t eat anything else
Tank requirement: 3-5 gallon filtered and heated tank

Sad news to share, Finley passed away. He unfortunately developed dropsy but didn’t survive treatment 🥺 RIP Finley ❤️

Meet Finley, the beautiful dumbo ear betta fish. I brought him into my care for finrot and blindness. He’s able to see some shadows but the poor thing can’t see much 🥺 I have to help guide his food to him so he can eat. His fin rot has gotten a lot better. Using Indian almond leaves has really helped his fins so I recommend he always has those available!
Either than being blind, he’s such a sweet boy and wants to be around you! He loves to be acknowledged and knows that someone is there. I put my hand around his tank and wave my fingers so he knows that I’m there!
Food requirement: Pellets, freeze dried foods, or frozen foods. You have to guide his food to him because he’s blind!
Tank requirement: preferably something small like 3-5 gallon tank with a soft filter and heater.
Caring fee: $10

These bettas have been in my store for a long time. I wish I could take more home but I don’t have any room left in my house. Please consider adopting one of these bettas, so many are depressed 🥺 stop by Kahoots Pet Store in Chino Hills to pick one out! Some of these bettas have been there since our January shipment!
This beautiful boy has been struggling since he got to my store. The transportation he was in really stressed him out and it also looks like he might have a swim bladder issue 🥺 I waited a few days to see if the bloating went down cuz the bloating makes it hard to swim, but he wasn’t getting better so I decided to bring him home. I’m currently treating him for any kind of infection he may have, and once I’m done with that, he’ll be going into a heated bowl. I’m hoping the heat will help his tummy! If it doesn’t, then he might have a permanent swim bladder issue, but let’s all hope for the best for him!
Miss Lilo is ready for adoption! She is infection free and the majority of her fins have grown back. I feel she’ll fully heal once she’s in the proper tank setup ☺️ Lilo is a blue female betta, however in lighting, her colors can appear black! She is a super sweet and active betta. She loves being near you and other fish to look at. (I have her in my kitchen next to my other female bettas & she likes to play with them). I have really grown to love Lilo and want to keep her myself, but I unfortunately don’t have enough room to get her a proper setup (I have 7 bettas and 5 I’ve rescued). I will miss her deeply, but I want her to have the proper home she deserves 💖 Tank requirement: 3.5-5 gallon with a filter and heater, and with places to hide! This is one of the bettas I rescued last week. This poor boy can’t swim or stay afloat properly 🥺 I fasted him for a few days, in hopes that he would poop, but he didn’t. I gave him some frozen brine shrimp, since it has a lot of fiber, but he didn’t poop for another 2 days. I fed him more brine shrimp and this morning I saw that he finally pooped a little, so YAY! That’s progress 👍🏼 I’m hoping this is just caused from constipation and not a genetic issue 😅🙏🏼
Just rescued 4 bettas from Petsmart. Please pray that they make it through 🥺🙏🏼 gonna be adding warm water and betta beads to make them more comfortable. After a week theyll be added to bigger and temporary bowls, I’m quarantining them.

This is Lilo! I rescued her from Petsmart a few days ago. I saw that she had ICH and knew I needed to take her home so I can try to save her. Her treatment is so far working very well and she looks to be successfully recovering! She’s not available for adoption yet, but once she fully recovers, she’ll be ready 🥰
