As we near the halfway point in the first month of the new year, we wanted to take a minute to share a long overdue celebration… ⁣
⁣
Lilo, now Maggie, and Lyla have found their happily furever after families! And, we couldn’t be happier for them and their families. ⁣
⁣
After only 1 week with our co-founder, Maggie met her new mama at holiday craft fair 💫 Maggie’s mama saw and felt how special our little LUV was and applied the next morning before the sun even came up. That was the beginning of their journey together. Maggie has a mom and dad, 2 human sisters, and 2 kitty siblings who adore her. ⁣

The following weekend Lyla & Rocko headed to San Diego for Santa Paws adoption event. Lyla’s family just happened to walk by as the event was wrapping up when they saw Lyla. It was LUV at first sight. Lyla’s new human sister was already crying tears of LUV and happiness holding Lyla 🥹 Lyla headed home that day with her new mama, 3 human sisters, and grandma. Waiting for her at home was her dad, fur brother Bo, and kitty siblings. ✨ ⁣

📣 𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝗴𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮. We took in 13 new puppies - 5, 8 week old Labsky’s and 8, 6 week old Malinois (4 f, 4 m), and 1 mama before the end of 2024. Rocko and Spice are also still looking for a foster home. ⁣

3 week commitment. Fostering is 💯 free! We provide you with all their essential supplies, food, toys, and vet care. ⁣

These LUVs are healthy and happy, and excited to meet you! Our sweet Persimmon girl is deaf, so she’ll need a little extra help learning to communicate 🥰 We don’t anticipate these kids to get bigger than 40-45 lbs, making them the pawfect medium sized family member and best furiend!⁣

We’re happy to be rounding out 2024 with a couple of our favorite rescue partners, & , and our newest LUVs from the Reservation on Navajo Nation. ⁣

Everyone, please wish our cofounder, , a happy birthday 🥳🥂 Kelsey and her husband Ryan fostered one of our Riverside survivors, London (white GSD), in January. It didn’t take long to see it was turning into the start of their happily furever after fairy-tail ✨ Thank you for everything you do for our LUVs and others in need! ⁣

Welcome Emmie Lou, our newest LUV ✨ Emmie joined the Mutt Luv fam a few weeks ago after reached out. This beautiful, intact (not spayed), 7 m/o purebred Frenchie was surrendered to them after her family couldn’t afford to care for her anymore. ⁣
⁣
Emmie hasn’t had a great start to life - her family wanted to use her for breeding. She wasn’t a family dog, living alone in her crate 24/7 without her LUV or care.⁣
⁣
Thankfully all of that’s in the past ✌🏼 Since joining Mutt Luv, Emmie’s had her first vet appointment where we worked with the vet to built out a roadmap for a long and healthy life. Emmie had a wellness check up, received her first round of vaccines, and meds to rid her of Giardia. She’ll get her second round of vaccines in a few weeks. Shortly after arriving at her fosters, Emmie went into heat so we are waiting to get her spayed.⁣
⁣
Emmie is living her best life with her foster mama and family 💙 She LUVs making her rounds of morning wake up calls, playing with her fur brothers, and receiving daily cleaning and nose balm treatments from her foster dad 🥹 We’ve also discovered Emmie’s actually part cat 😂 (swipe to the last picture). No longer will Emmie have to want for anything- a family of her own, safety, care, or LUV. ⁣
⁣
When we say fostering saves lives, this is what that looks like- we didn’t just save Emmie but we saved her from a life of being manually impregnated and bred for profit. And, we saved all of her puppies that would have been taken too soon and sold to anyone who could pay. ⁣

Nika is a beautiful, smart, happy, strong, and energetic 2 y/o (f) Dutchie mix. After being rescued from a high-kill shelter in LA, Nika was abandoned by her family and failed by her fosters. Nika is dog social with proper introductions, swipe through to see videos with a few dogs she has been socialized with. She is also human and kid friendly, crate and house trained. ⁣

Thanks to 2 networkers fighting for her survival, Nika has been safe but sadly they’ve run out of money and options to help her. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻! We need a committed foster who can provide Nika with stability, patience and understanding, boundaries and other skills to help her feel safe as she learns to trust and feel safe navigating her new life, and who’s committed to helping her become her best self.⁣

How oh how is this handsome, sweet, silly, and crazy smart boy still waiting for his furever home!? Rocko is a 5 month old social and happy-go-lucky Mal mix who still hasn’t grown into his feet or ears 😂 adding to his silly demeanor cuteness level.⁣
⁣
For as goofy as Rocko is, he’s equally as smart. This boy LUVs to have a job - no matter the size, and learns very quickly. Because Rocko is so smart, he needs a family who understands his breed and needs, and can provide him with the right enrichment outlets to help him live a balanced and happy life. ⁣

They’re on their way to our cofounder’s home in the Bay Area so we can get them to the vet for check ups, vaccinations, microchipping, and spays. Lilo also needs to go to a specialist for her cloudy eye that is spreading in one of her eyes.⁣

𝗦𝗼𝗖𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘄 - abandoned at a shelter in Northern California at just 2 months old. These big, sweet pups are now 5 months old and 65+ lbs of LUV, entertainment, & cuddles. On average, their food alone is upwards of $150 or more every week!⁣

𝗖𝗼𝗰𝗼 - our sweet Seniorita Coco was brought to the shelter after loosing her person for the last 8 years. She was in ruff shape, scabbing on her b***y for long periods of time on the cement, missing patches of fur, & more. Now she faces another hurdle with her health. She’s been diagnosed with a thyroid disease & severe allergies. Only her health hasn’t improved much. She’s getting ready to go to a 3rd vet for more testing & nutritional support. ⁣

Livy started her foster-to-adopt trial after 8 months of waiting for a family who understood how special she is and wanted to do whatever it takes to help her live her best life. PLS send Livvy all the pawsitive vibes as she embarks on her new journey ✨⁣

𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘂𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗟𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝘆𝗹𝗮! These beautiful 10 -12 week old Husky x Aussie (?) mix puppies were found by our friends and rescue partners Keith + abandoned on a dirt road on the Navajo Reservation in AZ. Thanks to a temp foster stepping up, these little babes are safe and decompressing in AZ.⁣
⁣
We’re looking for a foster in the Bay Area or SoCal so we can get them to the vet for check-ups, vaccines, spays, + to get Lyla’s eye looked at. You can see in the last picture she has a cloud in one of her eyes that’s spreading. We think she might be going blind or partially blind so we want to get her to a specialist ASAP. ⁣

Lilo + Lyla are very nervous and learning how to trust humans. We want to keep them together for a while to help them adjust to their new life and start building their confidence.⁣ They’re also learning how to live and feel comfortable in a house so they will take patience and understanding 💙

Rocky needs real luv, baby 💙 and a foster or adopter in the Bay or SoCal area! He’s currently being boarded at our vet and not doing great. Rocky’s an 11 month old heeler or pointer mix who weighs around 40 lbs + won’t get much bigger. He was surrendered to a friend of the rescue who asked us to help find him a new home. ⁣Please don’t leave him waiting, boarding is no place for a puppy! ⁣ Howly 💩 does this pup have it going on!
