who’s ready for warm weather and some sun? 🙋🏼♀️☀️🕶️
Some may see just a nice picture of some cutie patooties… we see that too 🥰 BUT more importantly we see a group of dogs that are working incredibly hard on building confidence, working on impulse control, tuning into their people around distractions, and so much more. Really, REALLY, proud of this crew today 👏🏼

❄️ the dog days of winter have begun ❄️
So much celebration in order! We have officially found the perfect fit to add to our stellar team, everyone meet Nicole! She’s been with us for a few weeks but it already feels like she has been here for months.
On top of that, she also had a birthday over the weekend! Join us in welcoming her and wishing her a happy birthday! More to come very soon on Nicole and what we have been working on behind the scenes 👏🏼
Happy December! Still out here soaking in all this beautiful autumn weather! 🍂🧡
We utilize many different parts of nature to take new, cute, and interesting pictures of the doggos out on adventures - but we want to also point out the importance.
Here at The Daily Dog, training and mindset work in constantly being woven into our adventures. This photo today challenged this pack’s impulse control, basic and beyond basic obedience, focus and tuning in ability, and CONFIDENCE. Yes, it’s a super cute photo, but also a stellar training opportunity. Each dog is placed where they are purposefully and are met exactly where they are at but also asked to rise to a slightly new challenge each day. So proud of this group!
We’re looking for another person to round out our amazing team!! We highly prefer some professional dog experience in some way shape or form, though we will offer a significant amount of on the job training. ALSO *if you know someone that is already a dog trainer, feel free to send them our way as well - we’d love to talk to them about potential opportunities here!*
We’re not ready to say goodbye to fall yet 🍂
Here at the Daily Dog, we take extra care in nurturing and growing our pup-kins!! They’re all very “gourd”!! 🎃
✨An entire decade✨
Today, the OGest of the OG Daily Dog’s turns 10 (or as Indy says, two whole hands).
I’m not sure how much you all know about Remmy other than he’s my dog. He’s the face of this company, our logo is literally a drawing of his face 😆 So, I wanted to take the opportunity on this big birthday of his to tell you more about him and our journey through the last 10 years together.
This dude has been by my side through it all and he is SO much a part of where I am in my life today. I got him when I was 19. I was working a veterinarian at the time and had just about worked through my first year of my Animal Science degree in college. During that time, I took specialized classes to learn more about animal behavior and training. Prior to that, I had studied allllll things dog all throughout my school years - even apprenticing with a trainer in high school. Having done all of that and working at a vet where I dealt with puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, difficult dogs, and all things in between - I was confident that I could raise a super well behaved puppy, I mean come on, I had it in the bag.
Plot twist, I indeed did not “have it in the bag”.
This puppy was 👏🏼c h a l l e n g i n g👏🏼. I tried all the things I knew, and then looked to advise of a dog trainer.
Plot twist again, it didn’t work.
So, off I went and walked myself right into the local dog trainers office that dealt with the baddest of the bad dogs - and was like “SOS what in the world is this dog, help us please”. After having my entire view of dog training flipped on its head, I was hooked - and ended up working and apprenticing there. That is where my dog training career begun … all because of REMMY.
Fast forward throughout the subsequent years of our lives, he was always my right hand guy. He came everywhere with me, I’m not exaggerating, EVERYWHERE. I went to grooming school, continued to work at the animal hospital (he came to work every day and was essentially raised there and at my training job), and started my pet sitting side hustle. Over the years, after working what felt like non stop, I started to slow down and zero in on my place in the professional dog world.
Remmy and I moved A LOT. We’ve lived in at least 6 different houses together & called at least 3 others temporary homes before finally landing in the house we now call our own. Remmy was there to announce Sawyer & I’s engagement. He was there when I decided to announce my resignation from all of my jobs and that I was going to open my own business. Rem was there to announce my pregnancy with Indy. And now, he’s continued to be here as I’ve navigated owning and growing my own business, raising Indy, and now adding his lil sis Figgy to our fam.
He’s a high drive, smart as a whip, spicy, snuggly, over the top, dog & CONTINUES to teach me every single day. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him. I always wanted to be here, but he pushed me to get here. Out of my comfort zone.
And to wrap it all up with a quote I said to Jillian today, “just sayin’, if this dog only makes it to 17, I’m gunna be pissed” ♥️
Fall adventures are the best adventures 🍂🍁
The happiest doggos in all the land ☺️

👏🏼this is why I do what I do👏🏼 Wrigley is a 6 month old pup & he juuuust started the puppy program. I received this video from his owner tonight, showing his progress with lose leash walking/tuning in on walks.. & I’m SO proud. We haven’t even gotten to the lesson on “heel” yet, & I’ve only had 1 one on one walk with him where we practiced leash manners. This success is all through his owners putting in a lot of foundation work behind the scenes & working with Wrigley to tune in to them instead of the outside world, and to look to them for guidance. It just goes to show how absolutely important foundation work is in training! Can’t wait to see his progress continue ♥️
