A little late to say this but… Happy New Year! ❤️🥳 We’re back from a much needed mini holiday break, batteries fully recharged – and we hope you are too.

To be honest, I can’t really find the words to describe my 2021; part ‘languishing’ and uncertain yet at the same time appreciative of the newfound free time I had. I’m staying hopeful, though, that 2022 will be a better year. If you, like me, have been overwhelmed by feelings of blah last year, let’s pull ourselves out of this pandemic funk together 😎

PAUSE - Yumi’s reminding all hoomans to take a break from our devices, and bring our puppers out for more adventures. Step out into fresh air, and enjoy the view ☺️

It’s been crazy busy for us at work recently, so we’ve been a little slower with our replies, but don’t worry – we haven’t forgotten about you guys! There are a few ideas and projects that we’re exploring on the side too, and we’ll introduce them to you in due time. But for now, here’s some news that’ll bring you cheer - our new pastel blue colour (Arctic) and restock of the much-loved Sandstone shade have finally arrived 🥳 We’ll be updating our website with these reaaaally soon, we promise!

We really appreciate weekends more ever since we welcomed our dogs to our families, and I believe our dogs feel the same way too, like here ☺️

In a time when burnout and overwork is becoming increasingly common (those of you who hold full-time corporate jobs like us can probably relate), opportunities to truly take time off and let go are ever so precious. More importantly, we get to use this time to bring our dogs out on adventures that we might never have experienced, if we didn't have them in our lives. We always put our best foot (or in this case gear) forward for social media, so today I thought I’d share something different.

Some of the gear that you see hanging here was crafted in our very early days, with inexperienced hands but a relentless eagerness to explore product possibilities and experiment. It’s not that obvious from this distance, but if you zoomed in close enough, you could probably spot the uneven cuts, misaligned edges, or even holes where there should be none 😂

I’ve kept (and still regularly use!) some of these imperfect gear, and decided to hang a few of them up as a reminder – to take pride in our progress, and that we can always find beauty in the process ☺️

“Henlo, won't you come play with me?”

The main reason we started Woofloof was for our pups. loves going out, and gets super excited whenever we bring out her leash. And we love our adventures with her! I'm often inspired by our outings, thinking about what tweaks we could make or interesting new ways we could use our gear. It’s extremely gratifying and exciting to make a new product and try it on Nuggie and – and to see them enjoying adventures and having fun in our gear too ☺️

We love the classic look and feel of our buckle collar. But when fellow dog owners shared with us that they’d like a more convenient option to quickly snap their collars on and off their furry ones, we made it our mission to source quality hardware that provides that ease ☺️

Here’s our Easy Collar, which features a zinc alloy side release buckle (look at that shine!), while retaining the elegance of our classic buckle. To be honest, my favourite part about this collar isn’t the convenience – it’s the interchangeable straps that allow me to mix and match colours and jazz up my pup’s look for the day. Introducing our Martingale Collars | now live on Woofloof.com

If you’ve met our dog Katsu, you’d know that he gets distracted easily and loves to pull on his leash 😂 A martingale collar gives me much more control during our walks, without exerting too much pressure. A gentle tug tightens the chain around his neck, helping me communicate with him better, and prevents him from backing out of his collar ☺️

For extra durability, we use only stainless steel chains for our martingale collars, with a special layer of PVD plating on our gold chains for added protection from scratches and a long-lasting shine.

As the fit for this collar is really important, do read further on our site on the best way to measure your dog. A correctly fitted martingale collar will be just a tad loose when not pulled. The two D-Rings should not touch when pulled.

Happy International Dog Day to all our furrens ☺️🐾 We’ve just learnt the origin of International Dog Day - and how lovely it is!

It’s a day that celebrates all dogs, regardless of breed, but was first created by an animal welfare advocate in 2004 to raise awareness of animal rescue and to encourage adoption. Fun fact: The date 26 Aug was selected for International Dog Day because it was the day the founder’s family adopted a 10 year old dog named Sheltie 🥰

All dogs truly deserve a special day to celebrate them ☺️ Give you furbaby some extra love today! ❤️

Wonder how the name Woofloof came about? Our brand and products are inspired by our dogs - wolf-like Katsu and floofy Nuggie.

After we welcomed our dogs into our lives in August 2020, we went about excitedly looking for products that could help us unlock new experiences together - gear that would not only be suitable for their high energy and sense of wander, but that they would also look good in. And that’s what you can expect with our customised, handmade gear!

NEW IN: By popular demand, here's our newest product – the Laurel Collar. Our classic Buckle Collar with an elegant (and literal) twist, the Laurel Collar features gorgeous, interwoven braids on each side, opening up more colour customisation possiblities 😍 It's now available on woofloof.com - check it out!

It took us a while to decide to introduce these, to be honest. We've seen dogs wearing braided leashes and collars of all kinds, but we were quite hesitant as we know for a fact that every unnecessary cut made in Biothane weakens the material (by how much exactly, we're not sure anyone could really say).

So for your dog's safety and your peace of mind, we'll only be offering braids on collars when they serve no weight holding function (i.e. the braids are not on the main collar strap itself) – which is what you'll see on our Laurel Collar here ☺️ If you've any questions on braiding or these collars, feel free to DM us.
