Adopt Deacon!

Deacon is a 5-year-old, 55 lb Golden Retriever with a heart as big as his beautiful red coat. After spending his earlier years as a stud dog, Deacon is now ready for a new chapter!

Fully crate trained, Deacon has been a model pup in his foster home and appears housebroken, but his humans work from home and give him regular potty breaks. He’s an easygoing guy who adores his people and loves to stay close to them. While he enjoys being near you, Deacon doesn’t suffer from separation anxiety and is perfectly content when left alone for short periods. He’s not destructive, making him an excellent choice for families who want a low-maintenance, well-behaved dog.

Tennis balls are Deacon’s favorite thing, and he’s always ready for a game of fetch (although he's still learning that bringing the ball back is part of the fun!). He’s incredibly food motivated and a fast learner, picking up basic commands with ease. Deacon is excited to please and would thrive in a home where he can continue his training.

Deacon gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and his relaxed, non-reactive nature makes him a joy to walk with on a leash. While he’s very affectionate, he can be a little skittish when adjusting to new environments, so he’ll need a secure, fenced yard where he can feel safe and settled.

Though he does have bursts of playful energy, Deacon quickly calms down and just wants to be by your side, enjoying quiet time together. His ideal home would be one where he can be your loyal companion—whether it's playing with toys, going for walks, or just cuddling on the couch.

Deacon may not fully realize his size and could accidentally bump into smaller kids, so a household with small children might not be the best fit. But if you're looking for a gentle soul to share your life with, Deacon is ready to give you all the love, loyalty, and companionship you could ever ask for.

*ADOPTED

After enduring over a year of abuse, she was rescued and has spent the last eight months on a remarkable journey of healing. While her scars tell a story of her past, it's her radiant spirit that shines brightest now.

Meet Hope

Hope doesn't shy away from life near as much anymore. Instead, she embraces it, running and playing with her furry friends. When you extend your hand, she doesn't cower in fear like she once did. Maybe at first with strangers but eventually she meets you with a soft nuzzle, quick kisses, and gentle snuggles.

She is extremely loyal. She will never leave you once you’ve earned her trust. She has the ability to be the best pup you’ve ever owned.

Hope is house-trained, crate trained, and leash-trained. Her crate is her sanctuary, a safe place where she finds comfort.

Hope is great with dogs of all sizes and cats. In fact, having a furry sibling in the home would be ideal for her.

This amazing gal has come so far and now she’s ready to find a loving family who will give her the love and care she deserves.

*Hope’s fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. Heartworm positive and has been treated with a gentle kill treatment and is on HW preventatives.

UPDATE! ADOPTED!🥳
Our miracle Standard Poodle mix boy Scout is ready for adoption! For those who missed his story, here is a quick recap. In late June, Scout was found abandoned next to a clothing donation bin behind a local business. He was wrapped in a bedsheet and was so emaciated and weak that at first glance he did not appear to be alive. He could not walk, sit, stand or even lift his head. His skin and gums were not pink but white. Scout was rushed to the county shelter where the staff quickly determined that he needed emergency veterinary care if he were to have any chance to survive. We stepped in and committed to his rescue, immediately rushing him to the ER at UGA where he was hospitalized in their Critical Care Unit. Scout underwent all sorts of testing to rule out any underlying cause for his poor condition. Every test result pointed to one simple cause for the horrific state he was in — human neglect. Scout had been starved by his owner and also kept in a filthy environment where he was not only matted but forced to lay in his own waste. His flea infestation was so severe that he was anemic to the point of needing multiple blood transfusions. Scout spent nearly two weeks in the hospital and his vet bill totaled over $10,000. To look at him today you’d never guess he nearly lost his life less than two months ago. Thanks to the excellent care he received at UGA and dedicated rehab from his foster mom, Scout is doing amazingly well now. He is almost 50 pounds, more than double what he weighed when he arrived. Scout is estimated to be about three years old but he is still quite puppy-ish in his behaviors. He is incredibly sweet and affectionate but also a total goofball. He is mouthy and energetic and he absolutely loves to play. He has never met a toy he didn’t like and he is known to find his own fun if you don’t keep him occupied, lol. Scout will thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run and stretch his legs. One of Scout’s favorite activities is chasing squirrels and he can run like the wind. It’s wonderfully heartwarming to see him enjoying life after coming so close to losing him. Because he is a bit socially awkward around other dogs, we believe he would do best as the only dog in your home. He shows too much interest in chasing cats so no kitties, please.

Scout is house-trained and crate-trained. He would be a good walking buddy for someone but he is learning not to pull on his leash. Scout is intelligent and eager to please. He is highly treat motivated which makes training him that much easier. After a lifetime of neglect, Scout just needs a loving human who will be committed to helping him become the incredible companion he was meant to be.

Scout is fully vetted -- neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on his vaccinations and deworming. You can apply to adopt him at the link in the comments below.

Meet Jasper the Doodle. He was transferred in from an open admission facility at maximum capacity. He was surrendered to them by their owner, although we are not quite sure of the reason. We do know Jasper previously lived with children. He is a high energy, happy Goldendoodle with more wiry hair than curly. Jasper undoubtedly still has special grooming needs, even with his coat being a bit different than most doodles.

Looking for that pot of gold? Email [email protected] for an application to adopt this Goldendoodle.
Jasper is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms.

Sweet girl was found abandoned at a park in GA. She’s now looking for her forever home. Please consider adopting this baby! Don’t shop, adopt your next doodle. We are in such dire need to help our community of doodles! 🫶🙏

Does your dog need a playful, fun-loving friend? Our lovely Ava would like to apply for the job! This pretty girl is a Doodle (likely a Golden Retriever/Poodle mix) and she weighs about 45 pounds at two years old. Ava came to us from a local shelter after being abandoned at a public park. She was tied to a water fountain in dreadful condition, skinny and covered matted, filthy fur. It was obvious that Ava had recently birthed puppies as she was still full of milk. After selling her babies, her owner must have seen no use for mom any more.

Yes, Ava has a sad story but she holds no ill will towards humans. In fact, she’s one of the most cheerful, friendly dogs you’ll ever meet. Ava is a high-energy gal who loves two things — playing and cuddling. She is not a dainty type of girl — she’s full on tomboy with a need for daily exercise and active play. Ava loves other dogs but she likes to roughhouse. If your dog isn’t the type to enjoy wrestling, chasing and playfully tussling with another dog then Ava wouldn’t be a good fit for you. This energetic girl requires a fenced yard and a buddy who can keep up with her. Ava is a bit of a wild woman but she couldn’t be any sweeter or more beautiful. We know she will thrive in a home where her endearing, spunky nature will be appreciated. You can see more photos and apply to adopt sweet Ava at the link in the comments below.
