UPDATE: ADOPTED! Look how pretty! Vera Wang is another of the ten Poodles/Doodles we rescued from the recent neglect case involving 150+ dogs. Vera is about 1.5 years old and she is full grown at 16 pounds. She is an Aussiedoodle — a cross between a Miniature Poodle and an Australian Shepherd. Her hair is super soft but not very curly. She will shed and she is not hypoallergenic. Her filthy, matted coat had to be shaved upon intake but her natural coat is long and wavy and will need regular upkeep from a groomer.

Vera has been in a foster home with children and large dogs and she assimilated into that household after only a few days. This sweet girl is one smart cookie thanks to her DNA from two of the most intelligent dog breeds. Vera is a happy, energetic gal. She needs humans who will be committed to keeping her exercised and mentally stimulated. She is not looking to lay on a sofa all day — she wants to play! Vera is cuddly and affectionate but you must let her get her energy out first. Someone who is looking for a walking/exercise buddy would be ideal for Vera.

Another doodle from hoarding case! Meet Donatella ❤️ Located in Lawrenceville, GA

UPDATE: ADOPTED! What you see here is the transformation of the lovely Miss Donatella Versace, a ten-month-old, 19 lb Poodle. This beauty queen is one of the ten we took in from the rescue of over 150 breeding Poodles/Doodles who were confiscated due to neglect. Donatella is intelligent and full of energy. She would be a fabulous companion for an active person who will exercise her daily. Walking, jogging, playing fetch — she would enjoy any activity where she can be outside with her human. Donatella has beauty and brains and she would probably be the star student if her new humans took her through an obedience or agility training program. She is eager to please and ready to use that brilliant brain she was blessed with. Donatella is still quite puppy-ish in her mannerisms and activity level. She would do best with dogs her size or larger who like to romp and play. Please keep in mind that these dogs have no semblance of house manners due to the lack of supervision and filthy conditions where they previously lived. Donatella now has a good start on crate-training but she will need your continued guidance and patience to become fully housebroken. In return she will gift you with years of love and loyalty. Elly is an absolutely gorgeous Aussiedoodle who was surrendered by her owner. Due to a lack of time, they could not complete the training she needed or give him the attention she deserved.

Elly has a history of nipping. While this could be the herding instinct of an Australian Shepherd, a home with older children, or no children, would probably be ideal for Elly.

Because of her idiosyncrasies, we recommend an adopter familiar with the breed, personality, and special grooming requirements.

Another doodle from hoarding case! In Augusta, GA. Needs a forever home!

*** TEDDY HAS BEEN ADOPTED !! ***

UPDATE: There was some confusion and it turns out that Teddy was not part of the hoarding case but one of the babies from multiple litters that the Shelter had at the same time. Teddy is NOT a Labradoodle and he appears to be a Terrier / Hound mix baby. We have included a photo of his Mom and Dad.

Mom was 35 pounds pregnant and Dad was 20 pounds. Dad is definitely a scruffy Terrier mix and Mom appears to be a small Hound mix.

Teddy is a 10 week old male Terrier / Hound mix baby and is so full of life, love and mischief. Teddy is full of puppy energy and also loves to snuggle. Fenced in yard is required because as he grows, he'll need a safe and secure place to run and play.
