Penelope is a 5 month old, 5-6 lb Schnauzer/Poodle mix (aka Schnoodle mix) puppy. She is an incredibly sweet dog who is very well behaved for her age. Penelope loves to sit by your side and be near you. She is crate-trained and doing well on house-training. She is able to hold it overnight, which is great.

She is a slow eater, and she loves toys. She loves to sit with her foster family and watch the tv. She is a calmer puppy than most. She loves to lay next to her foster mom while she works.

Penelope is dog friendly and should be fine with cats.

Parker is a 5 month old, 8 lb old Schnauzer/Poodle mix (aka Schnoodle mix). He is a very loving, affectionate boy. He would love another dog that wants to play with him, he loves top lay fetch with the ball in the backyard, and he likes to chew on nylabones. He also loves getting into the toy bin to get a new toy. He gets zoomies inside and outside the house, and he has a blast with it. He is doing well with house-training and holds it all night. He has been crate-trained as well.

Parker is not food motivated, but he does love toys, so that will be the ideal way to train with him. We have not had him around cats but don't expect any issues.

Are you looking for a real life teddy bear?!? Then Cosmo may be the boy for you!

Cosmo has been through A LOT in his short little life, but he’s ready to put all of that behind him now! At around 6 years old and probably around 50lbs, Cosmo is a “standard” size poodle or poodle mix (lots of people have guessed golden doodle). He does not seem to shed and will need regular brushing and professional grooming around every 6 weeks. Cosmo has not had any accidents in his foster home, rides well in a car and gets along well with his foster siblings. He seems to prefer female dogs as playmates, but this could just be specific to his foster home. He loves kids but can be very mouthy when excited so a home without small children would be the best fit for him. He loves balls and stuffed teddy bears, so he’s requested that we make those a requirement in his forever home 😉

Jasper is a 4 month old, 9 lb Cavalier/Poodle Mix (Cavapoo mix). He is a happy little guy who loves to play with people, other dogs, and toys. He also loves to snuggle and sleep in his foster family's laps. He has been good with other dogs but might be a little too playful for an elderly dog who doesn't like playing. He loves to give kisses and wag his tail!

Jasper is doing well with crate-training and is working on house-training. He is very cooperative with having his soft, fluffy fur combed and will require regular grooming.

Oscar is a 2 year old, 40 lb Poodle mix - most likely with Sheepdog, but we don't know for sure. He is a shy boy initially, but he comes around pretty quickly, especially around other dogs. He absolutely loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home and hasn't seemed to mind the cats.

He is crate-trained and eager to please, but he is not yet comfortable on a leash, and therefore, he requires a fenced in yard. Oscar will also shut down when separated from other dogs, so we are requiring a home with another dog as well.

Someone please adopt this cutie before I do!! Located in ATL, puppy poodle named Dillon

As we have gotten to know Dillon more, we have revamped his profile. Dillon is a great dog - he just requires some patience initially as he adjusts.

Dillon is a super sweet 7-8 month old, 12 lb puppy. He has done very well with house-training in his foster home, is leash trained, and excellent in the car. He loves to cuddle and be with his people. He loves to play with other dogs in his foster home and feels most confident with them, so a playmate is REQUIRED. He can also entertain himself with fun dog toys and balls. He is shy and unsure of small children, so he is not a match for them. Teenagers 15 and up should be okay for him.

He does well during fireworks, vacuums, and storms. Dillon is very sensitive and would do best in a quiet, calm household with someone home most of the time. He requires a secure fenced in yard as well. Applicants must be in Metro Atlanta.

Dillon is a super sweet 7-8 month old, 12 lb puppy. He loves to cuddle and be with his people. He loves to play with the big dogs in his foster home, so a playmate is recommended. He can also entertain himself with fun dog toys and balls. He loves going for walks and does well in the car. He is shy and unsure of small children, so he is not a match for them.

He does well during fireworks, vacuums, and storms. He is doing well with house training if you let him out frequently and watch him go. He does not know how to alert you that he needs to go potty, so accidents can still happen. Dillon is very sensitive and would do best in a quiet, calm household with someone home most of the time. He gets anxious when left alone, so crating when you’re gone is a must to keep him safe.

She is making good progress with crate training and house training but will need to continue to work on this. She is not comfortable walking on a leash yet and will need to work on this as well.

Someone passed this onto us and we thought it was a great idea to share.
With the 4th of July right around the corner we tend to get several calls about dogs getting out, and owners frantically trying to find them. We ask that you make sure your dogs have their collars on, updated contact information on their licenses, or do something similar to the picture below !
We can not scan for microchips. We do not have a scanner, and if the vets offices are closed, we will have to transport any found dogs that are unclaimed to Lake County Dog Shelter.
We love our community fur babies and want to make sure they are safe! 🐾💕
