Master Chief Handling & Grooming
Hello Dog lovers!
My name is Emma and I am so excited to start this business adventure. Here is a little about me if you do not already know!
I have been showing and training dogs since 2008. I started in dog 4-H with my Rough Collie named Spartan. Master Chief Handling and Grooming was named after him, his AKC registered name was Spartan Master Chief Winton. A few years later I started to show Liberty an Black Labrador Retriever that I co-own. Through the years I was fortunate enough to have the privilege to handle a few different breeds in the ring for owners/breeders. Growing up with Spartan and Prince(Spartan’s Son) I had so much fun with the Collie breed, that I fell in love with the breed. I have always had a passion for working and training dogs. Ever since I was little, I wanted to become a Professional Dog Handler. I currently own a German Shepherd Dog named Dusty Boots, who is quiet the character. Although Dusty Boots in not a show dog, he still holds a big place in my heart. I am planning on adding another Collie to the pack soon!
A few years ago I had taken a break from dog shows and training to focus on college and becoming a Certified Personal Trainer. Once I had completed both school and passing the ACE exam I started working as a Personal Trainer. Working with people to help them crush their fitness goals was so much fun and I loved it. But my dog passion kept tugging at my heart and I could not ignore it. In 2019 I decided to enter the dog show world again. But an even bigger change I made was deciding to go to dog grooming school. I am currently a student at Maser’s Academy of Fine Grooming. So far I love it and feel it is were I am meant to be.
