Michelle, our trainer, has been working with Myah and her current owners, and has fallen in love with this girl! Myah is learning manners on a leash, she can sit, down and even go to place! Her new family will need to continue training to keep Myah's busy brain occupied.
Myah LOVES to play, loves to cuddle on the love and will happily sleep in your bed if you let her! But, she is also crate trained and happy to sleep in there too!

Today is an extra special day! ✨️ Today a year ago Torro was born! Today is also the day he was gifted a new name! ✨️
Sometimes, the best way to help the more broken dogs start to heal from their past, is to give them a clean slate and what better way to do that than gift them with a new name! 💖
Torro is a 💩 lawnmower brand 🤣 and while this boy has been a pretty big 💩 since coming into care...
In the last couple of weeks, he has shown that he is capable of being so so much more! Steel is now a much more fitting name and he has taken to it as if it was always his name!

TORRO UPDATE
If I was to say this dog has been a challenge, that would be an understatement. Torro came into our care by way of a pound, when I first met him, he was withdrawn and had no clue why he had been surrendered by his owner. There was something about this boy, I believed we could help hm. His first instinct when asked a question was not to growl or back away it was to bite. In our care with his foster home, he went on the attack without warning and bit not one but two different people, advised by two different vets to destroy that it was foolish to open the foundation up for liability, we reached out to a very dear friend and dog trainer for some assistance.
When you first meet this dog, you would think butter would not melt in his mouth, everything is fine until he is asked to do something challenging or something as simple as not wanting to go in a car he would bite without warning, this is how he has learnt to get out of the simplest of things. We loaded this dog in the car and drove him to the Hunter Valley to a very dear friend and dog trainer, the first night absolutely awesome he was not the dog I had described then out of the blue the next day he went on the attack, knocking our trainer to the ground drawing blood, we honestly had no hope for this boy and I had started to make arrangements to have him put to sleep, we tried one last attempt to have another trainer come in and see what his opinion was with him, Torro, again went on the attack after 40 minutes of training we had a breakthrough it was minor but still the same it was a miracle. After consultation with a vet we decided that he had to learn not to bite the hand that feeds him so for two days he was left with just water. Its amazing how he has progressed, he still has a long way to go but this dog now has hope and possibly very long future ahead of him.
This dog had no clue on how to play or interact with people in the correct way, he has a Sit now which is wonderful and he is beginning

Lucky & Gregory Spam
After a week of hell, it’s so nice to sit back and watch Gregory play with Lucky. Gregory gets down to Lucky's level to play. This little guy has so much personality it’s not funny, he is a complete gem to be around.
We are getting ready to do a massive road trip from Armidale to Shepparton then on to Warrnambool, Lucky is heading to an amazing lady who runs Canine Therapies Warrnambool, for an extended period of time. If you have a dog that needs just that little more TLC Shannon is the lady to see. Lucky will need a wheel chair eventually for outings but we ultimately want to help his other front leg in the hope that he will function as a tripod around the house and yard

TORRO UPDATE
Jail break complete, it took 45 minutes to get this boy out of his kennel at the animal shelter he was at, he got wind of the car in the distance and dragged me to it.
In the two hour drive to his foster home he was allowing to pet him all over and he started to trust myself but not wanting myself out of his sight, he even started to take treats from myself this is awesome as he had not eaten in two days.
Once we arrived at his new foster home for training I honestly struggled to ge him out of the car with him fighting me, when he caught sight of anyone he basically dragged me across the paddock to flee.
He is in safe hands, ready to form trust with both Males and Females, he may only be a 9 month old pup but he has ability to fling myself around like Swiss Cheese.
Torro I look forward to seeing your future improvements my friend, here’s to your next big adventure.
