Hello OC Community Cats supporters.

Today, we are asking for help covering FIP medications for one of our super sweet senior community cats.

Kingston was dumped into one of our managed colonies about a year ago. At first he was super healthy, ate well and got along with the other cats.

In the last few months, Kingston had been losing a lot of weight, not eating as well and had been being terrorized by some local dogs that chase the cats there. He is approximately 7-10 years old and had trouble getting away.

We brought him into foster care and he went to our amazing vet Unfortunately the news was not good.

Our sweet senior boy has FIP, to add to his issues he is FIV+ which means he has a lowered immune system response and does not heal as quickly or as well as a completely healthy cat.

Due to the FIV+ status, his dosage of his FIP medications is very, very high. He was tolerating the injections well, but because of the FIV he had too many sores that weren't healing well or quickly, so we needed to switch him to the pills, which are just as effective, but a lot more expensive.

Kingston is quiet, and so sweet and will just lean into every scritch and pet you give him - especially his cheeks. He has stolen the hearts of all of our volunteers, he is an amazing boy and he is fighting this and doesn't ever lose his sweet spirit!

He is making progress, but the FIV makes it very, very slow. We want to give him the best golden years we can, and getting him past the FIP is one of the first steps!

And not specific to Kingston, but we always need more volunteers. Our TNR Rescue is volunteer based and we always need more amazing people to foster, feed our colonies, transport to vet appointments, and help trap cats and kittens for vetting and to get them into foster care!

Meet Bob and Bay -

These two sweet cats need a new foster who can give them more socialization and get them ready for adoption, or a patient adoptive family who are willing to give them time to learn to trust and feel comfortable!
They are a beautiful mom and dad who are very bonded and must be moved together.
They raised their litter of kittens together and now that the babies have gone they need to move on themselves.
We need a new foster or even better an adopter for them who is willing to be patient and calm and give them lots of time to adjust!
They will need to have their own room to start, but do get along with other cats, once they have settled in. They do need a home without dogs.
They are sweet and shy but will warm up to their fosters (or adopters) if given the time they need to adjust.
They LOVE treats and are super easy to care for!

Foster Desperately Needed!!!

We really need some amazing fosters - we have quite a few kitties that need a safe and loving foster home while they finish their vetting and be to be loved on while they get ready for adoption!!!

One sweet little boy has to move ASAP!!!

Meet Tommy!

He is a super sweet and adorable, young kitty (just over a year old) he is playful, smart, cuddly and just came into us a couple of months ago. He is still in the middle of his vetting and will be listed immediately for pre-adoption or foster-to-adopt while he finishes all of his vet care.

His current foster has had a family emergency and needs to leave town very, very soon.

If you would like to help us - and sweet Tommy - he just needs your love and attention and he’ll give you all the purrs and playtime in exchange!!

We provide all vet care, food, litter and can even usually supply basics like litter boxes!

Meet Bernard and Bianca!!

**We are a Bonded Brother/Sister Pair and MUST be adopted together!!**

Bianca and Bernard are adorable bonded siblings. They were born in the home of an owner that had so many cats that she didn't even know their mom was pregnant until she gave birth to these sweeties..

When the owner fell ill she reached out for help.

OC Community Cats stepped into to rescue them and despite their rough start these little darlings are thriving and healthy kittens!

Bernard is sweet and affectionate. He loves all toys especially cat ball tracks and ping pong balls. He definitely has kitten energy when he plays. Sometimes he gets so into it he growls at his toys When he's tired he loves to crawl into your lap and just chill. His so loyal and has a loud purr. He is vocal when he wants something.

Bianca is cute and tiny. She too loves to play with balls, anything with feathers and spring toys. She enjoys cat TV on YouTube. She likes to lay next to her humans and get face and chin rubs. Her favorite sleeping spot is the foot of the bed. The best way to get her to purr is let her lay in your lap and rub her chin.

Both Bianca and Bernard can be timid at first but once they trust you they are loving and affectionate Bernard is a little braver and watches out for his sissy.

They both come running when you shake the treat jar or bring them their meals. They were born in May of 2021 and are fully vetted and ready for their forever home.
