February is Spay/Neuter Awareness Month – and we’re ready to celebrate with a PITTIE PAWTY!

In an effort to support responsible pet ownership and reduce the number of unwanted PITTIES in our community, we’re offering discounted spay/neuter surgeries for pit bull owners for a limited time, using grant money. SPACE IS LIMITED. Pit bulls are often one of the most common breeds found in shelters, yet they’re also among the most at risk for being euthanized due to overpopulation. By making these services more affordable, we hope to make a positive impact on reducing this cycle and improving the lives of both pets and their families.

Many people don’t realize that the term "pit bull" actually refers to several breeds, not just one. These include:
* American Pit Bull Terrier
* American Staffordshire Terrier
* American Bully
* Staffordshire Bull Terrier
* American Bulldog (and sometimes, other dogs with similar characteristics)

If you’re a pit bull owner and want to take advantage of this promotion, here’s how it works:

* Complete the unique form for this specific promotion.
* You’ll be asked to submit a photo of your dog once you’ve been contacted.
* A deposit is required, which will be forfeited if you miss your scheduled appointment.
* Pitties must be at least 3 months old, healthy, and up-to-date on their rabies vaccination. If your dog is not vaccinated for rabies, we will administer one at the time of surgery for a fee.

This is a limited-time opportunity to make a positive impact on your pet’s health and help reduce the number of unwanted litters in our community. If you’ve been considering spaying or neutering your pit bull, now is the perfect time to take action. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of pit bulls and help create a healthier, safer community for all pets.

***We will NOT be accepting calls, emails, or DMs to schedule***

Totally Tabby Day

Did you know that Tabby is a coat pattern, not a breed? Tabbies are the most popular coat pattern found in cats of all breeds! With their beautiful stripes, swirls, and spots, Tabby cats are beloved by many. Unfortunately, shelters and rescues are overflowing with these sweet furballs, and we want to help!

On Monday, January 13, 2025, we’re offering discounted spay/neuter services for all Tabby cats in Maury County and surrounding areas.

Eligibility:
* Any Tabby cat
* Must be at least 3 months old and 3 lbs
* All cats must have current rabies vaccination. If not, we can administer one at time of surgery.
* We will ask for your ID, picture of your cat and a $10 deposit. If you are unable to provide any of the above, please do not apply.

Help reduce overpopulation and give a Tabby cat a brighter future! 🐾

❄️ Winter has officially arrived in Maury County, and so has an important update for our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program for Community Cats/Feral Cats/Trapped Cats. 🐈 As the temperatures drop, we’re committed to ensuring the well-being of our community cats.

🚨 Important Update on TNR Appointments 🚨

Effective immediately, we are adjusting our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) appointments due to winter weather conditions. We will only be accepting appointments from:

✔️ Established TNR clients
✔️ Experienced trappers
✔️ Those who agree to follow our winter-specific care guidelines

While winter is a crucial time for fixing outdoor cats, it also presents serious risks to their health and safety once trapped. We want to ensure every cat stays safe, warm, and properly cared for during this process.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community cats safe this winter. ❄️

📱 Did You Know? U.S. Customers Prefer Texting with Businesses!

Studies show that more and more customers are choosing to text rather than call businesses—and it’s easy to see why!

✨ Why Texting is the Go-To for Business Communication:

1. Higher Open Rates: With up to 98% of texts being read, it’s a sure way to get your message noticed (especially with all the spam calls these days)! 📲
2. Convenient & Flexible: Customers can reply at their convenience, no need to drop everything for a phone call. ⏰
3. Less Intrusive: Texting lets you communicate quickly without interrupting someone’s day. 🙌
4. No More Phone Tag: Eliminate the back-and-forth of missed calls and voicemails.
5. Paper Trail: Keep a record of all conversations for easy reference and even exchange photos! 📝
6. Faster Results: Need a quick answer? Texting speeds up responses and service. ⚡

For businesses, texting isn’t just efficient—it also improves the customer experience. We understand we’re busy taking care of patients, which is why we offer texting to stay connected—without the wait or interruption. You can still call us, but text is also available!

A Little Positivity Goes a Long Way 🌟

Today, I wanted to share this wonderful message from one of our sweet clients 🩷

But let’s talk about the other side of the story for a moment. Veterinary medicine is full of long, challenging days. We work tirelessly to care for your pets, often doing everything we can in the face of tough situations. It’s not always easy. And while most people are incredibly understanding and kind, there are times when we face hostility, negativity, and rude behavior.

The truth is, behind every pet is a person—just like us—trying to do their best. We know emotions run high when it comes to our fur babies, but kindness, respect, and understanding go a long way. Every single person here shows up because we care deeply about animals and their families. We spend time away from our own families and pets to care for someone else’s.

In veterinary medicine, no two patients are the same, and neither are their needs. We don’t treat every pet the same—each one gets a tailored approach to ensure they receive the highest standard of care. If they’re nervous, we take our time. If they’re shy, we do our best to win them over gently. If they’re grumpy, we bribe them with treats and shower them with praise. We do whatever we can to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. 🐾

To those who appreciate the hard work, care, and dedication we give—thank you. You make all the tough days worthwhile.

To the rest of you- let’s be kind to one another. You never know the struggles someone might be facing, and a little bit of compassion can truly make a world of difference.

Words, even untrue, can hurt. We vote for Kindness 🩷

Thank you to those that attended our HOWL-o-WEEN PAWTY and for getting your black dogs and cats fixed and vaccinated! We enjoyed meeting your pets and taking care of them.

Unfortunately, we had nine last-minute cancellations, which meant 18 pets missed out on this special opportunity—9 that did not show and 9 that could’ve filled those spots with more notice. We understand that life happens; however, to continue providing affordable and essential services to our community, we kindly ask for your cooperation with our clinic policies:

1. Timeliness for Appointments: Please arrive on time. As a high-volume clinic performing 30-60 surgeries daily, punctuality is crucial. We understand that traffic, weather, and life in general, can lead to unexpected delays; however, some of our team members drive over an hour to reach the clinic and make every effort to be on time to serve your pets. We ask for the same courtesy from you.

2. Prompt Pick-Up: Please ensure you pick up your pets at the designated times. These times are communicated via email, text, and in person during drop-off, so you should be well-informed. Our pick-up times are firm and non-negotiable. We understand that everyone has work, doctor’s appointments, school schedules, etc. but we too, have commitments that we would like to leave for on time. It is unfair to expect our staff to stay later and miss their own obligations because you cannot be on time. If you cannot pick up promptly and cannot make alternative arrangements, we kindly suggest using another clinic that better suits your schedule.

3. Advance Cancellation Notice: If you need to cancel an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Last-minute cancellations disrupt our schedule and impact other pet owners that are waiting for a spot. Please do not schedule an appointment and take up a surgery slot unless you are willing to make every effort to attend. Failure to cancel in a timely manner will prohibit you from utilizing any of our services in the future.

4. Follow Our Post-Op Instructions: Please follow the post-operative care instructions provided by OUR team, rather than relying on other sources. Post-op complications resulting from non-compliance will incur a recheck fee.

5. Be Kind: We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is rude or verbally abusive to our staff. If there is an issue or concern, please ask to speak to the Clinic Director.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we strive to serve the community effectively!

As of today, we have received over 1000 inquiries for spay/neuter assistance. If you have submitted a request and did not hear from us- please submit another and make sure the number and email you provide is entered correctly.

Do not submit a request unless you have read, understood and agreed to our policies mentioned above.

🖤 Why Black Pets? Have you heard of “The Black Cat/Dog Syndrome?”

The black cat and black dog syndrome was established in the early 2000s by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). It was described as a phenomenon that dark-coated pets are overlooked most of the time by adopters in favor of animals with lighter fur hues. It happens usually due to people’s beliefs, superstitions and associations. Black dogs, especially big ones, usually characterized as frightening and aggressive in films, books and other media. Black cats are also surrounded by a different kind of superstition and associated with witchcraft. In general, society correlates black color with evil and bad fortune.

🎉 Let’s give our dark-furred friends a brighter future! Share this with friends and family to help spread the word. Space is limited, first-come, first served.
