FACT OR MYTH ABOUT OUR SHIH TZU

Tanong: Magkakaiba po ba talaga ang kulay ng shih tzu depende sa line ng lahi nila?

Sagot: FACT. Opo. Iisa man ang type (standard) na shih tzu mayroon. Pero maraming kulay ang shih tzu, depende sa genetic line nito. Halimbawa ng mga kulay ay:
1. Black and White or Brown and White - ito ang pangkaraniwan at madalas natin na nakikita na kulay ng shih tzu. Price range: ₱5000-P7000, kaya sa naghahanap ng 2k o 4k budget medyo kabahan po tayo.
2. Tricolor - Combination ng White, Black, and Brown color.
3. Red - ito naman ang "mahogany" color natin kung tawagin. Madalas, dark brown ang kulay kapag puppy pero pag laki nito ay nagiging light brown o cream na ang kulay nito.
4. Pure Liver - also known as choco liver. Ito ang kulay ng genetic line ng shih tzu na mas mahal ang bentahan dahil kakaiba ang kulay nila compared sa nakasanayan na dualcolor at tricolor. Kulay liver lahat ang buhok nito pati ilong at paa. Tanging liverline lang ang may kulay brown an ilong. Nagre-range ang price nito sa ₱20,000 - ₱35,000.
5. Liver line - ito naman ay kapag ang dual color, tricolor, o mahogany, etc. ay nalahian ng pure liver. Ang difference nito sa pure liver ay ang kulay ng ilong. Brown kapag liver, black kapag liverline. Price range: ₱7,000 - ₱10,000.
6. Silver and White - ito yung combination ng pilak at white color. Rare ang color na ito. Kaya swerte ka kapag nagkaroon ka nito.
