Close closeup! The Lykoi breed is the only breed that shows a roaning pattern - white hairs intermixed with their underlying color, in this case a blue roan! Roaning varies from very little to quite a lot, with a preferred amount being between 30 and 70% roaning, with 50% being the ideal.

Lykoi are so crazy in their hair patterns. Kittens are born completely furry, go bald at 4 weeks, regrow coat, and throughout their lifetimes periodically molt with the amount of coat carried as adults varying. In kittenhood, they look like totally different cats week to week! Photos below showing week 1, week 4, week 8 - can you believe it's the same kitten?
