Hey guys, We wanted to say
Happy New Years to you ALL! We hope you all have a great 2024 !
We have a few updates
1) We will be requiring a 25% deposit on all pre-scheduled surgeries/ operations.
2) We now have online link to pay your accounts. We are trying to make sure we cover all avenues to make it easier for you. We can send you a link (just ask for Brittany) or we have QR codes we can hand out at our facility.
3) As most of you know Dr. Sims leaves at 12 every Wednesday. We stop making appointments at 11:45. We will refer all emergencies to his trusted choice. We will still be open for sales.
4) We will no longer be charging any products, vaccines, Euthanasian, medications, grooming, or cremations.
5) The only option we have for payment plans is if its (DEEMED) an emergency we can work with you so that your furr baby is taken care of with the best care. We understand hard times and emergencies happen.
6. We have a deposit for parvo treatment $500 - That is not your balance that is only a deposit. The deposit does go toward treatment and bill.
7) We will be offering 20% off Dentals in February ( Dental Month)
8) Online prescription approvals- We will only approve if we have current bloodwork, up to date annuals, or current visits. We also have our own ONLINE PHARMACY - ask the staff about getting signed up.
9) Due to boarding being so booked- we will need a boarding deposit to hold your spot. Upon Cancellation - you will not get your money refunded it will just go to a credit on your account.
10) All pets will need to be UTD on vaccines for Boarding and Surgeries. This is for the protection of your pet. We will require vaccinations at least 2 weeks prior to stay/ surgery.
11) We will require a copy of everyone Driver License and last 4 of SS when setting up payment agreements, writing checks.
12) For those of you who don't use us or know what types of payments we take: Cash, Check (if returned $36 charge & 10 days to pay it with cash, Care Credit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Scratch & Pay, and now Valor Pay Tech ( Online Portal ).
13) Due to all the sickness spreading around. If you are coughing, sneezing, running a fever - please reschedule. If you are at our facility you will be required to use a mask or wait in your car to avoid sharing germs.
14) Collection of CSAH - If there is a balance on your account. You will receive weekly friendly reminders. Communication is key. If you cant keep an agreement please call and update Brittany so that she can notate your account and work with you. We understand Life Happens. For those who leave with a balance ALL will get a QR code to access our online pay portal. Please don't take offense its just for your convivence.
15) Please make sure that your dogs are on a leash to prevent any fights or anyone being bit. Please make sure your cats are in a carrier.
16) If your pets have issues with crowds or nervousness please notify the staff and we can get you our "chill protocol" that help ease you and your pet.
17) As most of you know and for anyone new we will not take appointments between 12-345pm due to Dr. Sims having lunch hour and setting aside surgery time to make sure that your pets get the utmost attention during their surgery.
18) We have several new in- house treatments and in- house blood works that we can do now. . It has cut down result times tremendously. There are still some stuff we have to send to labs but they have had 1-2 week wait time.

19) We now ONLY accept spay and neuter certificates from Pell City Animal Control Center and ASPCI - If your pet is not up to date on vaccinations please make sure you get the SNAP certificate that covers vaccinations and surgery. Also, If your pet is pregnant during operation its $50 for cats and $100 for dogs/ If they are in- heat it will be $30 for cats and $50 for dogs. This is due to risk of the surgery. If you know they are in heat before their appoint please reschedule due to the risk it takes on your pet. Also, you will be required to get an additional vaccine that the SNAP certificate does not cover the cost for Bordetella is 22.75$
20) If you have special ordered food- please call a week in advance so that we can make sure that your food is in stock. We don't want your pets getting behind on their prescription foods. We also have the option to have the food delivered to your door through our supplier. If your are interested in that please call 205*338*3556 and we will get you signed up for our home delivery.
21) For those who get their pets cremated. Since we are now requiring you to prepay for your pets ashes back we will now also have that company ship them to you when they are complete to eliminate you having to run back and forth.
22) All Grooming appointments will now go through the groomer (Kendra ) you will send a text 205-510-8750 and leave your name, pets name, type of dog, what you want done, day you want and an up to date phone number for her to reach you for questions. All grooming appointments have to be dropped off between 830-930 am so that she can evaluate her day and plan accordingly.
I know that there is a lot of changes being made but its to better our company, your experience and your pets experience. We hope you have a great year!
