Fundraiser update!!!

Due to myself having several personal things going on, and also due to the recent flooding and many fundraisers and drives that have been happening, we will be postponing our fundraiser to a later date.

We are still actively searching for donations and seeking donors! We are thinking we will hold the fundraiser closer to Christmas time. We just want to make sure with all of the time, money, and effort that goes into this, that it is held to the highest standard we can do, to raise as much money as possible!

Businesses!!! we need your sponsorships! We are a 501(c) three nonprofit so you can have a tax write off with your cash donation! We are also in need of gift baskets, gift certificates, and anything to put on auction that will bring in funds!

With many recent animals that go missing every year, and several lately, we have decided if we can raise enough money to use the funds to purchase a thermal drone! This could be a huge lifesaver in locating pets on a much quicker level and getting them back home, safe and sound faster without injury! Our plan is to utilize this with other vet clinics, animal shelters, and local police for any animal that is missing in our area!

‘ it takes a community’ is kind of our motto, and it absolutely rings true. We all need to help each other to help our beautiful great Lakes area.

OMG SHES FOUND!!!  she is safe at home with her human now! Thank you so much for sharing and posting and keeping an eye out for this baby! 

Flyers have been made and will be distributed around the dogs neighborhood. From Crescent Beach down to Gull Point…. please keep sharing this post and if you live around that area, please keep your eyes peeled. There are a lot of wooded areas and tons of houses back there, along with several water hazards. We are beginning to wonder if someone actually took the dog. There has not been one single sighting with all of the people in the neighborhood. if you walk the path or ride your bicycle, or just have the time to walk around with your dog, please look for Grace! If you see her, please be careful about apprehension as she is kind of skittish, please message the page immediately with any sightings.

We are in desperate need of auction items! Our annual fundraiser is coming up September 21, and I just have not had much time or energy like I usually do! We need gift baskets, gift certificates, gift cards, anything that will help bring in some funds! 100% goes to Lakes community animal welfare.

We have a big orange male kitty at the clinic today! No more babies for this dude! 

The fundraiser is located at Oak Hill outdoor in Milford on Saturday of the big Dock Dogs event!!! if you have anything, please let me know and I can meet you for pick up or drop off, or I can pick up at the local business. Candle baskets, coffee, baskets, snacks, beverage, baskets, any kind of lake, apparel, or home decor, pet related items, everything helps!

Vet update: 😿 kitten is now deceased. felv/fiv was negative, x-ray showed no broken bones, anywhere in spine or legs, however, the ultrasound was tough. The vet could not even see the babies organs because he was so full of dark fluid. This is a pretty good sign of FIP. There is no clear cut test for that, and it’s a very ugly disease with a very ugly death. I would not put the kitten through that. There are ‘ treatments’ which are three months long, very expensive, and not guaranteed to work. On the way to the vet clinic, I decided to name him Theo for some reason. It has been a very rough day, afternoon, and evening, knowing that this precious little baby only had about eight weeks of life and all, but three days of them were pretty miserable for him. Theo has now crossed the rainbow bridge. SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR CATS PLEASE. It was over $500 for the visit today and thankfully, they didn’t even charge us for everything. Donations are still needed. Just because he is now deceased does not mean the bill does not exist. 

MONDAY UPDATE: Kitty is going in for felv/fiv test, exam, and x-rays to all pets vet clinic in spirit Lake today at 2:30. You can call the clinic directly to make a donation or you can let me know and I can pick one up from you! This will not be a cheap visit. I am sure! if you donate directly to the vet clinic, you need to say it is under Lakes community animal welfare tuxedo Kitty, or my name ( Katt flockhart) we need donations for him!!! 

UPDATE: kitten is in the care of Arnolds Barkery and grooming. I believe he was possibly hit by a car. And I don’t think it was very recent. My personal opinion is that his leg will need to be amputated as it is completely paralyzed. He is not in any pain or immediate danger. he will be housed and fed and taken care of over the weekend and will try to get him into the vet right away on Monday and go from there. As soon as I have an update, I will post to the page and let you know how and where you can donate! Giant, thank you to the Finder for saving this tiny little baby! 

We need help! Would anyone be able to sponsor this kitten if I take care of it? Just got alerted to this baby with a broken leg and needs veterinarian care immediately. We currently do not have the funds for that! No idea what it would cost, but I cannot take the kitten without having, funding available!
