My name is Kayla born and raised in Kailua. I am a vet tech in the community with over 8+ years’ experience. I’ve been working with animals since I was a kid from pet sitting, dog walking to veterinary technician. I am also a forever dog mom, as I have two Staffordshire terriers.
I saw a huge need in our pet community for more personalized, one on one attention, for all size dogs. The bonus was the convenience of being at the client's home, without the stress of packing up your kids and lugging in your pet to the vet office for a short service that cost a lot money.
My goal is to overall keep stress levels down for both Owner and Pet. After much research, Pretty Paws Hawaii was born. I am not a chain and this is not just my business, it is my life. I love what I do. I hope you and your pets will enjoy this wonderful experience as much as I will.

What I do:
With Pretty Paws, you will have 8+ years of experience at your doorstep! I specialize in the care of your pet's nails and provide all of our services in the comfort of your own home. It is important to keep your pet's nails in healthy condition and proper nail care can prevent scratching and clawing.
The goal is to build trust or rebuild the trust about nail trims as they are a basic pet healthcare necessity and I want to help eliminate your pet’s fear. I will do my best to get their nails short and trim in a relaxed manner.

Safety:
Your pet’s safety and comfort are our first priority. I pay special attention to older pets and pets with health issues. I will not perform any procedure that causes pain or a level of stress that I think is excessive. Please advise us of any medical, physical, emotional issues, allergies, sensitivities, or pre-existing conditions. (These may include prior surgeries, hip or joint issues, warts, moles, ear infections or skin problems).
If your pet has behavior problems, please let us know. Pretty Paws Hawaii reserves the right to use a muzzle on your pet for safety purposes. Pretty Paws Hawaii reserves the right to refuse service to any pet that I do not feel I can safely trim.
Appointments:
I will arrive as close to the scheduled appointment time as possible, however, due to the nature of the business, sometimes situations occur that will disrupt our daily schedule. This includes traffic, weather, mechanical difficulties, spending more time with an older/younger pet or a difficult pet. The pet’s safety will never be compromised by rushing to meet a schedule. You will be texted when I am on my way and advised of an arrival time when schedules change beyond our control. It’s impossible for us to give exact times, appointments times are ALWAYS based on an estimate.

Dremel Nail Trim (grinding) - $20
Ear Cleaning - $15
A**l Sac Expression (Owner must restrain pet) - $15
Cancellations:
Pretty Paws requires a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel any appointment. Please cancel your appointment by phone, not by text message or email.
Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged a cancellation fee of $20. This fee will need to be paid before any future appointments can be booked. We can take payment in person in the shop or by credit card over the phone.
Payment:
Payment is due at completion of the pedicure. I accept cash, checks, all major Credit cards, PayPal, and Venmo.
A processing fee of $2 is included for credit and debit card payments.
$25 charge for insufficient fund checks. If you check is returned, you will be required to pay for future appointments by cash or credit card only.
