This morning I just wanted to spend time with my dog, drink my coffee, and I wanted to see where our training was. And I think our training is going pretty darn well 😎
I aim to use the right tool for every job, so distraction level, what we're doing, and where we're going all go into choosing the right tool.
And I just wanted to share that with y'all, and show that with training and consistency, you too can have a tamed #powerpuller 💪😉

I know my house is messy 😅 but let's ignore that for the moment.
Instead, let's focus on the dog that is not in the way, not rushing the door, and not put in a bedroom with the door closed.
Jericho is in the living room in place stay, which is something that we practice often. It helps instill calmness and gives him a job while we put up a new door.
Because of how often we use this tool, we know that if he is in place, he is safe, and won't get off, no matter the distraction inside or outside of the house.
I love to use a place stay before we go anywhere (even just on a walk around the block), and to help teach an "off-switch"
