-Complex Trims:** More intricate or challenging haircuts take more time and effort, so they will be priced higher.
-Basic Trims:** Simpler haircuts, such as shave downs, require less time and are therefore more affordable.

Hi everyone! I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself, especially for those who are new. My name is Rachael, and I'm the proud owner and founder of Pawsh Pet Grooming and Skincare.
My journey in the pet industry began nearly 16 years ago with a focus on pet training. Little did I know back then that it would eventually lead me to owning a mobile pet grooming business—a path I never anticipated but one that has become my true passion. I started grooming shortly after my training career began and quickly realized this was where I truly belonged.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work in a variety of grooming environments, including busy salons, rural locations, private settings, and veterinary clinics. Through these experiences, I've grown to love the personalized, one-on-one nature of mobile grooming, which allows me to give each pet the attention they deserve.
I'm trained in all breed standard pet trims, but I especially enjoy working with poodle breeds, terriers, and schnauzers. Additionally, I have a special passion for helping pets with skin irritations and those who need a little extra TLC.
On a personal note, I'm a mom to two wonderful daughters, ages 8 and 7, with my late husband, Adam, whom we tragically lost in 2018. Opening a salon was a dream we shared, so this mobile grooming bus is my way of honoring that dream and his memory. I hope to expand our services with more mobile units and eventually open a brick-and-mortar salon.

Want to start your pup on the right paw? Puppy “groom training” is one of the most important things you can do for your pup! If you know your pet is going to have to have regular grooming, start them early and be consistent! Even if it’s just a quick hop on the table with a nail trim, it makes a difference.
How early should you start?
- We recommend that your dog be current on their first set of vaccines, but we can see them as early as 10-12 weeks!
Do NOT wait until your dog is 6-8 months old to call your groomer. Your groomer WANTS you and your pet to have the best experience possible!

We want to wish everyone a happy and SAFE 4th celebration.
Fireworks can be a major source of anxiety for dogs. Here are some tips to help keep your dog calm and safe during fireworks:
1. **Create a Safe Space**: Set up a quiet, comfortable area in your home where your dog can retreat. This could be a crate, a room with their favorite toys, or a cozy corner.
2. **Keep Them Indoors**: Make sure your dog is inside during fireworks. Close windows and curtains to muffle the sound and block out the flashes of light.
3. **Use Background Noise**: Turn on the TV, play calming music, or use a white noise machine to help drown out the sound of fireworks.
4. **Stay Calm**: Your dog can pick up on your emotions. Stay calm and act normally to help reassure them.
5. **Provide Comfort**: Offer your dog comfort if they seek it, but try not to overly coddle them as this can reinforce anxious behavior. Gentle petting and speaking softly can help.
6. **Distract Them**: Engage your dog with their favorite toys or games to help divert their attention away from the noise.
7. **Consider Anxiety Aids**: There are various products available, such as anxiety wraps (like Thundershirts), calming pheromones, or even prescription medications. Consult your veterinarian for recommendations.
8. **Exercise Beforehand**: Give your dog plenty of exercise earlier in the day to help tire them out and reduce anxiety.
9. **Identification**: Ensure your dog is wearing proper identification in case they escape. Microchipping is also a good precaution.
