Not often you pull a field full of ragwort taller than yourself (although many would say it’s not difficult to be taller than me!), but this one is definitely… outstanding in it’s field… 🤣🤣

I know I don’t stop talking about this little grey pony, but every time I work with him I am genuinely shocked by how much he has improved from even the day before! 🤯
Every ride he settles more than he did the ride before, is still happy to go out in front or behind all on his own, and never spooks- even when the other horses we’re out do! Seeing progress like this really makes everything we do worth it 😊 And working in places as beautiful as this is definitely a lovely bonus 😍

Another quiet hack on a lovely pony from last week 🐎
This was one very concerned, then very very happy horse playing in the river on Saturday 🤩
We started by trying to ride across, then, when he decided the ankle-deep water was most definitely going to jump up and swallow him alive, I dismounted and led him across (very glad I chose to wear my waterproof yard boots!). Once he realised it wasn’t a shiny monster and was, in fact, a super fun splashy stream, he let me climb back on board whilst in the river. We walked back and forth a few times (can’t forget stopping for a final snack and a drink 🤭) before heading home with an excited spring in his step 🐴
RCD Equine Services is super privileged to be able to ride such mature and quiet horses, who have a look at things and have the occasional spook, but take it in their stride and always learn from it 😊 On that note, we are open to riding any horse or pony- get in contact to discuss how we can help you and your horse!
This pony just continues to impress! Another week of handling him resulting in another successful ride 🤩
From unable to leave his field buddy to a long hack with two horses much bigger than him, and being totally unphased the entire time. He didn’t look twice at anything and was completely happy at the front, at the back, in the middle, and sandwiched in between. After the first ride we thought it was a matter of not being able to cope with working mentally, but now it’s clear he thoroughly enjoys himself 😁🐴

Another day, another pony to work 🐎
3 weeks ago this pony couldn’t make it 200m off the yard without going up and over. This was him on Thursday, behaving like a completely different pony 🤩 He felt confident enough in himself to be able to ride behind, alongside, and in front of the horse with us, and even canter ahead across a field on his own!
RCD Equine Services is quite fortunate to be small enough to ride almost any pony, and confident and experienced enough to be able to help work on greener / naughtier ponies and horses.
