Hi everyone!

Because of the weather that’s headed our way, we’re going to cancel doggy daycare tomorrow! 🐾❄️ We’ll remain open for boarding and day-boarding!

Now that the winter weather is upon us, snow days are bound to happen! ☃️❄️

For daycare only, we will follow the guidance of MDI High School for snow days! We will remain open if it’s just a delay but we will not have daycare if there is a cancellation! Unfortunately the dogs can’t have daycare via zoom.

I will try to reach out to everyone in the morning if we need to cancel but please check here if you’re unsure! 🐾

As Thanksgiving week is quickly approaching we just wanted to remind everyone of our schedule looks like for daycare and hours!

*No Daycare November 25-29*

*Our office will not be open on Thanksgiving Day, the 28th*

We will continue to have our normal hours for every other day that week!

Monday - Friday: 7-10 AM and 3-5 PM
Saturday + Sunday: 7-9 AM and 3-5 PM

Looking for someone to work up front at Dogs at Acadia Woods 3-4 days a work, 7-10 AM and then again between 3-5 PM, starting ASAP! Looking for someone year round or at least over the winter! This could be split up between two people but we’d prefer one person! Needs to be on time as you’d be opening and closing down! As we have an extremely small staff it’s super hard with call outs (obviously can make it work) but can’t happen often!

This would include checking in/out pups from boarding and daycare, answer/returning phone calls, bring dogs up and down from daycare, occasionally helping evaluate dogs for daycare, helping to ensure smooth running of the kennel area, helping out where needed with kennel work: cleaning dishes, laundry, and general cleaning! Occasionally running the front and back until ~November and then you would be doing front and back but few dogs out back so it's not hard! Super fun and fast paced environment but once the season slows down so does the pace! Needs to LOVE dogs of all sizes and temperaments and need to be good with customers as well!

NO DAYCARE TOMORROW, MONDAY, SEPT 23rd

A doggy that has been coming to daycare in the last week has started showing some signs of kennel cough. It's not 100% confirmed yet, we're hoping to hear back tomorrow. But, to err on the side of caution we will not be having daycare tomorrow to take the day to wipe down and sanitize all the nooks and crannies in the daycare room! If it does end up being kennel cough, we will not have daycare for the remainder of the week as the pup had been in multiple days last week and we want to limit and spreading.

If you dog ever has signs of coughing or other symptoms of kennel cough please do not bring your dog in and instead keep them out for a few weeks and/or bring them into your vet to have them checked out! It's not the end of the world but it does spread like crazy and we love to prevent it when we can!

We are no longer taking any new grooming appointments! ☹ Our wonderful groomer, Leona, will be leaving us at at he end of September and we have yet to find someone to replace her in the grooming room! 😲

If anyone knows someone that is a groomer and would like to have take over please have them reach out! ❤

Hey everyone! Quick update!

Due to staffing issues we’ll need to cut down our open office hours, the new hours starting Sunday, September 1st will be:
Monday - Friday: 7-10 AM and 3-5 PM Saturday & Sunday: 7-9 AM and 3-5 PM.

These hours are subject to change, if we are able to find the right person to help with the front of house. We’re hopeful that we find the right person soon, but in the mean time we’ll be having someone work 6-7 days a week and we’re hoping these hours will make it a bit more manageable.
