We are excited to announce that with Dr. Jamie Anderson beginning full-time work here, BLACC now has more appointment availability for your pet's needs. Dr. Anderson has over a decade of experience with surgical and medical case workups. We can tell you that your furry family member is in good hands with her.

We have appreciated your patience while everyone works through the current veterinary shortage.
We are also planning on re-opening on Saturdays the second week of March to better accommodate your schedule.

Hello everyone.
Just to throw it out there.... Yes, we are aware of the online posts regarding a potential algae ingestion dog fatality in the Tahoe Basin.
There is no information at this time confirming whether that dog's death was caused by cyanotoxicity (algae bloom) at this time, or another cause. It will likely be a week before test results are available.
We have not seen any algae toxicity cases at our hospital this year.
But we will stay updated when further information is available.
But please do not believe everything posted on social media, as it is often opinions, not verified data.
