June's foster Mum says:

June is a super sweet wee dog currently living with one big and one medium size dog and has slotted in very quickly.
We have a small baby and she isn't bothered at all (only supervised of course)
She’s super friendly and happy wee girl and loves playing fetch and going for walks.
June can be a wee bit jumpy with loud noises so may suit a quiet home.
June sleeps all night in her crate without a peep
Toileting really well, but I do always have a door open.
She loves her food.

Introducing... Ebby! 😍

Ebby is an approximately 1 year old Spaniel x Poodle

She is:
🐾 Des*xed
🐾 Vaccinated

🐾 Flead
🐾 Wormed

Ebby's foster Mum says:

Ebby is a very loving, energetic wee girl. She has such a beautiful personality who loves toys and playing fetch.

Ebby currently lives with a family with 2 small dogs and a cat. She gets on very well with the dogs and wants to play with the cat. She is submissive and can be a wee bit skitterish so jumps at noises she's not expecting.

She wants to be with her special person and I mean be with them. There will be no sitting on the couch without her beside or right on top of you, she doesn't understand personal space 😆

Her best friend in the whole world is her toy Chameleon. She plays with her all day and if she goes to bed at night without her, the first thing she does in the morning is run through the house to find her.

One thing that Ebby is still working on is toileting. When she came to us Ebby wouldn't even go to the toilet outside and now she is good but still has the odd accident so she will need some support getting into a good routine.

Ebby would be good in any family dynamic with or without pets.

From his owner:
We are very sad to have to re-home George. We took him on with the understanding he was good with cats but this has not been the case. After trying everything we can to make it work we have reached the difficult decision we're unable to keep him.

He's a 10 month old cavoodle. He's a smart, loving and curious boy that loves snuggles and loves to play with toys.
He's toilet trained, crate trained, can sit, and lay down. He's learning recall (pretty good unless very distracted), stay and he's fairly good on the lead.

He needs a cat free home. He's impolite with other dogs (he will bark but as far as we've seen he settles once he gets close to the other dog so we think he's barking from excitement)
We are unsure what he is like with children.

He requires more training.

but I'm positive with patience and training he will be the perfect companion for the right person. He's very loving amd loves to stick close to you.

We want someone that is committed to giving him a loving forever home and will have the time and patience to give him the life he deserves.

Adoption fee does apply to cover his des*xing + registration.

Little rescue dog 'June' who was very shy, received a relaxing pampering session, helping with her sore feet and filling her heart with love.
It's a true privilege to work with dogs who deserve a second chance at a happy life, granting them the love and care they so richly deserve. Wishing June all the very best, I’m sure once she is ready for adoption she will be snapped up. 🐾😊💖🐶

UPDATE: Going on trial 🥰
Ally is going on trial to a fantastic family who have adopted from us in the past.
We think their other rescue pup will be a fantastic mate for Ally 🐾🖤

Introducing... Ally 🥳

Ally is an approximately 3 year old bichon x shi tzu

Ally is:
🐾Des*xed
🐾Vaccinated
🐾Microchipped
🐾Registered
🐾Flead & Wormed.

Ally came to us with her litter of 4 pups after a bereavement in her family.
She has been such a good mum and they played constantly. 🥰

She is currently living with two small dogs and a cat, who she gets along with well. She loves toys and to play fetch and is especially fond of a good scratch.
She is also good with children.

She is a quiet dog but loves to go on walks and chase you around play fighting. A quick way to get to her heart is with a piece of cheese, she'll come running as soon as she hears the container open 😂

Ally would work well on her own or with another dog for company.

Adoption fee of $350 applies.

We are super grateful for all the support! 🥰

Thank you SO MUCH everyone!!! I had 10 dogs come in for nail trims this morning, I got lots of kisses from the dogs and had some great chats to everyone too. It was awesome and I even had some lovely BIG dogs come in too, who went well with having their nails trimmed on the ground. What fun!

Of the donations I know about, over $130 was raised for Little Pupper Helpers!!! Woohoo! Thank you all!!

The next date for the next free nail trim clinic is Saturday 7th September; mark it in your calendars and share with your friends and come along! I am happy to collect any donation for Little Pupper Helpers at any time, and I have their bank account details if anyone wants to donate direct to them!

**🐾 FREE Monthly Nail Trims 🐾**

I’m excited to announce that I will be offering FREE monthly nail trims for your furry friends!!

I will start it this Saturday, 10th August, and continue it on the first Saturday of each month thereafter.

🗓 Saturday 10th Aug, 10 AM - 12 PM
📍 Amy’s Little Dog Spa, 8 Usk St, Oamaru

While I am not charging anything for these regular clinics, I encourage you to choose an amount to donate and all contributions will go directly to “Little Pupper Helpers” to support their amazing local rescue work!

There are no catches, this is a FREE service to help the dogs who need it, please only donate if you can.

* Helping local dogs to keep their nails trimmed more regularly.
* Helping low-income families who cannot otherwise afford to get their dog’s nails trimmed as often as they need.
* Helping support the work of our local small-dog rescue!

Win Win Win!

All small-medium dogs are welcome as they will fit on my table space. Large dogs can come as well, *as long as* they’re fairly well behaved; you will have to hold your large dog securely while I will trim their nails on the floor.

Let's make a difference together—one paw at a time! 🐾💜

No need to book, all new and existing customers are welcome. Just come by between 10am and 12pm THIS Saturday!

Officially Adopted 🥳

Gorgeous wee P**i has been adopted 🥰

She is settling well into her lovely new home, and has been embarking on visits to the local rest home where she is becoming very popular 🖤

Thank you to her amazing foster parents for all their care of P**i over the last few months, to Animal Dermatology Canterbury Limited for helping P**i get relief from her itchy skin & ears, and to her new forever home for giving P**i the love and attention she has always deserved 🥰

Current vaccinations
Microchipped
Wormed and flead
Will come registered for the year 24/25

Two of the girls have hernias which will need to be fixed when they are Des*xed. (The vets have said these are minor and cause no distress)

Des*xing is compulsory when these wee ones are a healthy age

We will only be looking at the best homes for these wee ones.
Please specify if you have a s*x preference when applying, because we will select homes we feel best suit each puppies personality.
This is not a "pick of the litter" scenario.

Fencing is a must.

Shih Tzu's require regular professional grooming (every 6 to 8 weeks) to ensure their coat and skin stays healthy.
This is not a personal preference, it is a necessity :)

Due to the large costs incurred with an entire litter of pups and their mum and adoption fee of $500 applies.

Please note: We are expecting an overwhelming amount of applications for these wee guys so assessing applications will take some time.

Officially Adopted! 🥳

Lovely wee Mae has settled in well at her new home and has officially been adopted 🥰

She now plays and sleeps with her new brother Mikki, who is doing a great job of teaching her that not all people are scary 🖤

Mae was an especially anxious wee girl when she came into care, she had been through alot.
The time, patience and effort that her amazing foster Mum put in for months, and the patience and understanding of her new family to let her settle in at her own pace has really paid off ❤️

We are forever grateful for all of the people that help give these dogs an amazing life.
You're the best! ☺️
