Blues old friend Bruno moved home after proving too much of a hit with the ladies, so it was so heartening when someone new decided to introduce themselves to Blue. You can see Blue was a little unsure, but their calm persistence saw them win him over. ❤️ This also shows that, with the right approach, the lucky habitants here get such amazing enrichment in being able to interact safely with other species under controlled circumstances.

If we are along, the raccoons will always come and ‘say hello’. We are quiet, still, and respectful, and I like to think they appreciate this.

Every so often I pop to the shop before our last walk of the day and pick up a little meaty treat for Blue and I. We find somewhere nice and quiet to sit and enjoy it. This time, turkey was on the menu.
