Swipe to see the after. The neighbours were stopping by to see the garden; and we got a consultation with another neighbour a few streets down. As usual, I’ll be putting in my own order for some of the plants I used in this garden. Weigela ‘Spilled Wine’ is GORGEOUS!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️. We planted a row of 9 and I almost cried. When Grandma is a horticulturist you get the best herbs for postpartum. My first day as a grandmother and I’m making an herbal sitz bath for the best daughter-in-law I could ever imagine. Caring for my granddaughter means caring for her mama too. These herbs will help heal during her postpartum recovery. I also bottled the calendula and lavender baby massage oil I made for Baby Sage Rose🥰

Tobago seasoning peppers. These have “that” flavour that is synonymous with Caribbean cuisine. Similar to the St. Lucian and Trinidad Pimento pepper in taste, aroma, and heat level. I love these growing these peppers because the plants are small but productive!

I don’t have the patience to watch an empty looking planter while my daffodil bulbs come in. I made a plant swap for these campanula to help fill in my planters. Shoutout to the guru of floral design and everything planters @aguay93 for the helpful tips and pointers. You’ve upped my game! While they’re more frost hardy than most, I’ll be watching these planters overnight Monday and Tuesday of next week, as the temperatures dip below zero yet again. We’re not out of frost danger yet, so don’t get caught slipping, by putting out plants that are not frost hardy. Violas are perfect for spring planters. You can also fill in planters with cut stems of flowering shrubs like pussywillow and forsythia. This grow everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. I started over with these clones January 1. Almost a month in I realized my timer was not on; my plants had 24 hrs lights for about three weeks. Finally everyone seems happy.
