Ask a Vet: Is it fine for dogs to exercise in cold weather?

Yes it is, as long as your dog is protected. However if your dog is very old or a puppy, or suffers from heart, lung or thyroid problems, discuss with your veterinarian the amount of exercise they can do.

Remember to always protect them against extreme weather to prevent hypothermia.

Ask a Vet: Can I get the Coronavirus from my dog?

No. The virus causing COVID-19 is spread from human to human by droplets deriving from sneezing and coughing. Currently there is no evidence to suggest that pets can be the source of infection. But as always we advise to wash your hands after playing with your animals.
