Los gatos mueren en silencio en los techos de las casas, sin ser vistos, hambrientos, de frío y sufren una muerte lenta, deshidratados y muchas veces "envenenados" por gente miserable.

Si hay gatitos cerca de tu casa, ofréceles comida y agua limpia... Si está en tus manos, esteriliza a un gatito sin hogar, es la única forma de romper esa larga cadena de sufrimiento.

We are off to a great start, we received two surrenders yesterday. We took them directly to our veterinarian and received great news, they are felv and aids negative. That means they’ll be able to be placed safely into new homes!

Emeril is learning to play fetch and absolutely does not run out of energy!! He retrieves his little crinkle ball as many times as I can throw it across the room for him. Emi is so smart and so sweet, and has totally stolen my heart 💜 so happy to have found you guys!!

Today we did something a little different. Our rescues normally purr.. but when we found out this sweet senior ran out time and found himself next in the red line, we put in a call for help that Leah Goebel answered by opening her heart and home to him forever. It was an honor to cover his adoption fee❤️- River Krieger

A beautiful soul....Mrs. Kathy shared her love of cats with us and was always available to help us aid kittens in distress. She showed up to our many events. The kids beamed with pride as she sincerely praised their work. She was always available to offer guidance and advice. She will be missed, we will continue to honor her in the way she appreciated... saving the lives of less fortunate felines❤️

Our hearts are so, so heavy this morning.

There was not a day that went by in the last three years that you could not find Mrs. Kathy Burnett at the Walton County Animal Shelter. She spent over 40 hours a week volunteering her time at the shelter and fostered 79 shelter pets, not for money or recognition, but simply because she loved animals.

She has helped all of us at the shelter in so many ways, and she brought such joy to all of us each and every day.

There are some people who just cannot be replaced. Mrs. Kathy, it is hard to find the words to describe how much you will be missed.
