About Kids For Cats
River & October have enjoyed the love of their cats since they were babies. The dynamic duo are the very best friends and wanted to do something significant that would impact their community and friends in a positive way. Much of their time is spent with their cats.
River’s favorite cat is Peppermint Patty. She spends hours cuddled in his lap while he reads. October has a beautiful red & white cat named Vernon that is full of shenanigans. Kids For Cats, Inc. was brain stormed on a car ride through their home town on a rainy afternoon in July 2018. The pair had just fed a couple of stray kittens they found in a parking lot. River & October solicited the help and support of their family and friends and Kids For Cats, Inc became a reality
River has always enjoyed working with his hands. He spends hours in his dad’s workshop learning all he can while he creates unique furniture for cats. He uses his creative energy and wood working knowledge to build beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces for our feline friends everywhere. He is happy that his love and passion for building will now directly benefit his first love, the support and care of cats.
October is an accomplished artist, her skill, creativity and knowledge far exceeds her nine years. October has proudly won her schools “#1 Artist Award” for the past three consecutive years. She loves drawing, painting and sewing. Now that she is able to offer her works for the benefit of cats in need she enjoys what she does twice as much.
