A message from Steve,

Our plan is to run a Jumper Show on September 29th. Big or small, we are there for the people who enjoy showing with us. It’s been a rough summer and from week to week it’s hard to read how things will go. We have heard of a few groups that won’t be coming to the Jumper Show due to conflicts. Winsom Farm will run a small show and make it fun! No matter the size of the show, there are always costs to consider – help, ribbons, snacks – and the effort it takes to set up and tear down the show grounds and temporary stalls.

If you’d like a stall(s), please call 312-813-7096 by September 22nd to reserve a stall(s).

If we do not get a reasonable response, I will have to cancel the show. Like you all, I can’t afford to lose money. I am just asking your help in order to decide.

We’ve been doing shows for 25 years. We do it to provide a good experience and to grow. Please respond and we will act accordingly.

8.25.24 IDCTA Winsom Triple Show

It was a great day of showing a few weeks ago to close out the IDCTA schooling season before champs this weekend at Silverwood! We are grateful for all the effort from both riders, horses, trainers, supporters, and volunteers! We couldn’t do it without you all! Want to attend a fun jumper show, but are on a budget? Winsom Farm is hosting a jumper show with so much more than fun to offer! Come out for a good time AND gain experience in the stadium ring with fun challenges and classes!

Worried about not getting your entry shipped in time? No need to worry! You are able to sign up for the class day of!)There will be open fields for trailer parking, and room in the warmup ring if your horse is comfortable waiting around for their next class; if not temporary stall requests are due today, July 24th, so call Steve soon ( (312) 813-7096 )

The June 30th IDCTA Winsom Farm Triple Show was a huge hit thanks to all of our riders, volunteers, and of course horses!

Not only was the turnout amazing, but so was the weather! We had many qualifying scores that we hope riders will take to the IDCTA Championships this fall. Big thanks to judges Martina Mertens and Beth Gagliardi for giving amazing feedback on tests and keeping the rings moving. We are so happy that our second Triple this year was a success; thanks to everybody who made it possible!

Happy Independence Day 🇺🇸🎆

Even on this celebratory holiday, it is important to ensure that all animals including horses are comfortable during the night. Although fireworks are fun to watch for us humans, our animals don’t find them as amusing.

Some helpful tips:

- keep all pets indoors to ensure that they do not run away to seek shelter during the fireworks
- keep your pets in a secluded place where they are comfortable; playing soft music loudly can help alleviate the stress that comes from the noise
- give your pets something to do; hide treats or peanut butter around your home, giving your dog something else to focus on rather than the scary noises… with horses hay nets and toys around their stall help keep their minds busy
