A photo of my sweetie boy Vader. Tomorrow July 21st will be exactly one yr since I had to put him to sleep due to misdiagnosis and improper treatment by the vet I ran him to the day before. (1 yr ago today). I still feel the pain, the heartache and much guilt over it all. We both had 12 wonderful fulfilled years together. He was loved and he knew it. He loved me. He was the perfect dog. I will never forget him or ever be able to replace him. That vet still angers me when I think about it and I think thats the part that made it all so difficult as it could have been prevented. One error in judgement with a vet or healthcare provider can cost a life. Then they are just gone forever. I guess I've experienced loss of loved ones too much an some do to human error. I know a vet or Dr is only human but they get paid the big bucks. There the ones with the degree. They should care more. Do more. I just have to vent as its frustrating especially when it's out of your hands and nothing can be done. My sweet baby's memories will always be with me. I've adjusted but my days have not been the same since. I miss him as much as I loved him.

What type of dog water bowl do you use? 🐶💧

The dog water bowl has previously been identified as the third most contaminated🦠 item within the household and can be a breeding ground for dangerous germs & life-threatening bacteria🧫 that can put the entire house at risk, researchers at University Centre Hartpury have revealed.

So, which dish is best to use for a dog water bowl? The bowl that grows the least amount of life-threatening bacteria!

In the first study of its’ kind, Hartpury scientists found stainless steel grew the least amount of bacteria and over time, plastic bowls grew the highest amount, but the shocking part was the most harmful bacterial species (including salmonella, E. coli and MRSA) were most frequently identified in CERAMIC bowls!

Lead can also be a problem when using ceramic bowls, and the endocrine disrupting chemicals found in plastic bowls are a no-go! Also be aware plastic bowls🥣 can cause Plastic Dish Nasal Dermatitis🙀: Chemicals in plastic absorb through the skin and inhibit the synthesis of melanin, leaving the nose👃🏼 and adjacent areas with pink blotches.

So stainless steel🍴 bowls are the safest, right?

This makes sense. Just like my friends dog ran away on the 4th and has not been back. Why let your dog be a part of the fireworks. Before it starts put them inside where they feel safe.

July 5th is Vaders birthday. He would have been 13 years old. I miss him dearly each day. The 4th of July will never be the same without him. He never minded fireworks and he loved mingling with people. He was my companion and best friend.
