This boy was found roaming around Coleraine. He had obviously lived outside for most of his life as he is still getting the hang of using a litter tray. He is huge and cuddly! Will take time for him to settle. I think he would like a very quiet rural home with lots of outdoor safe access. He has been neutered and will be chipped. Josh is around 8-9.

This lovely black beauty is called Sooty.
She is a fabulous 15 years old.
Still in good health.
She is spayed and microchipped.

Sadly her human mummy had passed away and her grandson carried on looking after sooty until now. But unfortunately they have run into a situation which means this wee woman now needs a new home. Her retirement home.
She has been well cared for and we want that to continue.

She is friendly and loves being petted but unsure with new people
Because of this no kids under 12.
Not sure how she would be with other cats.
Preferably someone used to cats that will give her the time she needs to become familiar with them and build trust.
She likely will need some safe outdoor access.
Nowhere to built up or busy.
But will need kept inside initially for few weeks.
She is litter trained.

You have seen so many through this page that lynsey has had many not making it and really in a bad way.

This is another wee one that was found on side of road by Pippa Huntress Moon Sterritt
And taken for help.
He or she as you can see is totally emaciated.
Eyes so infected they are fully glued shut and dehydrated.
They will be checking for possible litter mates.

Thanks to Pippa for getting this one help.
May not survive but now will not die alone in agony.

Chance was found dump in a cage, alongside other dead rats about 2 months ago. All the past trauma has caused Chance to be a very shy, quiet rat. He usually spends most of his time in his hammock, being lonely. Chance is still looking for another male rat (could be more than 1) to go home to and bond with!

Does anyone recognise this cat? I think his fur has been a bit matted, he has caught it on a fence or something and ripped it off. Cat has now disappeared but trap set to trap and catch him/her. Please get in touch if you see it.

Please note - the owner of this dog has not been found. The retriever from The Meadows that has been mentioned is safe and well at home.

Guys please keep sharing this post, any information is vital at the minute 🙏

We’ve had volunteers out all day and this wee one hasn’t been seen since. It’s likely he’s hiding but he desperately needs vet care, his injuries have been described as extensive.

We received a message from a member of the public who was woken by a commotion at 3.30 this morning. This poor dog had been set upon by 4 to 5 out of control hunting dogs and was being torn to shreds. This person witnessed that it took the owner of the dogs 15 minutes to free the retriever from their grasp. This happened in the Glengalliagh area where the dog was photographed earlier.

It’s thoroughly disheartening that the opportunity to outlaw hunting with dogs was overruled by our main political parties. This type of catastrophic event is not an isolated incident, pets are killed and maimed frequently due to hunting dogs and their Neanderthal owners.

That’s a fight for another day however, we need to focus on finding this dog urgently. Please keep a close eye out and contact us with any information.

This is a criminal matter for Derry City and Strabane District Council and any information we are provided with will be handled with the utmost confidentiality.

Wildlife crime

Police attended Lisdillon Road, Strabane on 18th February in relation to the report of a badger being trapped by a snare. It is believed that the badger may have been trapped for a couple of days.

Could anyone using these types of snares check them regularly as there is legislation governing their use.

If anyone has any information regarding the use of snares on the Lisdillon Road please contact police on 101 quoting ref 1016 of the 18/02/2022.

For the wildlife lovers out there you’ll be glad to know the badger is alive and well.

Missing since the end of November this little 1s owners were out of their mind with worry.. when we say they covered every avenue possible to get Miles face "out there" they left no stone unturned and today all their efforts paid off. Having seen the missing adverts someone got in touch with his owner saying they may have seen Miles, the owner went straight over, called Miles and he came running..
Well done to the person who spotted him and got in touch, thank you.
Miles owner wishes to thank everyone for their overwhelming support.. its your eyes and ears that bring these wee 1s home.

To the owner of the silver Ford Focus that put this wee mite out in Skeoge at 6.30 yesterday morning and drove off, we hope you roast 😡

Todd as we’ve named him is understandably petrified and doesn’t know whether he’s coming or going.

We got a message from a member of the public before 7am who saw the abandonment happen and another at lunchtime to say he was found collapsed at Foyle Fruits in the industrial estate. We are eternally grateful to these two people.

This wee man has exactly 1 tooth left in his mouth and it’s infected and disgusting, pic in comments.

There is absolutely no excuse for this cruelty. There are 4 local rescues and to dump out any animal and drive off on them is unforgivable 😡

Todd is safe in our care and will get the vet care he needs but his emotional wounds will take longer to heal.

Despite his fear, he’s the sweetest little man and has shown no aggression. He is very nervous around men but we hope he can overcome that with love and patience.

Welcome to the beginning of your best life wee man, you will never know suffering again ❤️❤️
