Palmetto Veterinary Specialist is a growing mobile veterinary specialty surgical practice established in 2018. We are seeking a motivated licensed veterinary technician to join a well established, referral only, busy mobile surgery practice based out of Greenville, South Carolina.

We travel to clinics across the Upstate of SC, western NC and Northeast Georgia bridging the gap between the primary veterinarian and multi-specialty veterinary referral hospitals. We are looking for a technician that is ready to focus on surgery, anesthesia, and communication to ensure continuity of patient care.

The best candidate for this position will have experience monitoring pets during anesthesia, be comfortable preparing animals for surgical procedures, and understands aseptic and sterile technique. A minimum of two years of experience working in the veterinary field as a licensed veterinary technician is preferred. They will be able to work in a variety of clinic settings and have a dynamic personality and skill set to match!

Biography

Dr. Morrison obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in 1994 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. He completed a one year rotating internship at Oradell Animal Hospital in 2002. He followed his passion for surgery and completed a surgical residency at Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Specialists in 2006. Dr. Morrison became board certified with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2008. He moved to Greenville, SC in the fall of 2008 to join Upstate Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Morrison founded Palmetto Veterinary Specialist in 2018 to bring specialty surgery to your primary care hospital. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching college football, fishing, kayaking, hiking and camping.
