🐈 OD wants everyone to know, he's not your average clinic cat. He pulls his weight around the office with his excellent ideas during conference calls and makes sure the kennels are up to a five star comfort code. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank goodness we had OD there to tell Dr. Morrison what to say during that call! 😹

Brewster was thankful for the impeccable comfort of his recovery kennel after his TPLO. 😽

Thanks to Groucho’s Deli for keeping everyone from being “grouchy” and hangry! 🥙

And a huge thank you to Chinquapin Animal Hospital for allowing us the help from OD and their staff!

Rosie got herself into some double trouble with a fracture to the tibia and a fracture to the radius. With the help of a good samaritan, Palmetto Animal Clinic, and Dr. Allen and his team, we stabilized her fractures and pain.

Now for the healing process in her new home with her new mom, that saved her life. ❤️ It gets better from here, kid!

Ally Lee came in day of surgery with her very own book. 🥰🥹 Inside, we got to see Ally's transformation from a hairless rescue into a loved and furry family member. Today, Ally's mom elected to have a lateral suture and MPL (medial patella luxation) correction done on her knee to once again help heal her little baby. We are so blessed to be a part of her continued story. ❤️ Thank you Seneca Animal Hospital for trusting and helping us with this precious pup and process.

Check out Master Migo Oxner teaching yoga to Dr. Morrison and his team and the staff at Chinquapin Animal Hospital. Unfortunately, the yoga instructor “stretched” his limits and still needed the TPLO surgery after a CCL rupture. On the upside, he has mastered his “downward dog” pose.

After 10 weeks of recovery, Migo will be taking appointments to teach yoga classes again. So keep your schedule “flexible!” 🐕

Buddy and Jojo both had a TPLO surgery after they experienced a CCL knee injury. Read more to understand why this was the best procedure for them.

As mobile veterinary surgeons, we often encounter dogs with torn cranial cruciate ligaments (CCL), a common knee injury that can cause pain, lameness, and long-term joint damage if left untreated. One of the most effective treatments for this condition is TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery.

🔍 What is TPLO Surgery? TPLO is a specialized orthopedic procedure that involves reshaping the tibia (shin bone) to stabilize the knee joint. By adjusting the angle of the tibia, the surgery helps to prevent the tibia from shifting out of place when your dog walks, offering pain relief and promoting healing.

💡 Why is TPLO important for your dog?

Pain relief: TPLO stabilizes the joint, reducing pain from the torn ligament.

Improved mobility: Dogs recover stronger and can return to an active, pain-free lifestyle.

Long-term benefits: It helps prevent further joint damage and arthritis.

😊 Thank you to Holmes Veterinary Hospital for your collaboration to help Buddy and thank you to Integrity Animal Health Group for your collaboration to help Jojo.

Who doesn't love a floppy-eared, droopy eyed Basset Hound puppy?🐾 Bennelli had 2 procedures at Holmes Veterinary Hospital with mobile surgery performed by Dr. Morrison and his team.

Today we want to highlight two important procedures that can significantly improve your dog's long-term health: Spaying and Gastropexy.

👉 Spaying (or Neutering)

Spaying is more than just a routine procedure — it's a crucial step in preventing unwanted pregnancies, reducing the risk of certain cancers (like uterine and ovarian), avoiding a life threatening condition called pyometra (uterine infection), and helping to prevent behavioral issues such as aggression or roaming. By spaying your dog, you’re helping to contribute to the reduction of pet overpopulation and giving your pup a healthier, longer life.

👉 Gastropexy

Gastropexy is a preventative surgery that tacks the stomach to the abdominal wall, reducing the risk of gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV), also known as bloat. Bloat is a life-threatening condition that causes the stomach to twist, cutting off blood flow. For dogs prone to this condition (especially larger breeds or dogs that gobble down their food fast; hint the basset hound), a gastropexy can be a lifesaver and provide peace of mind.

Both procedures can dramatically enhance your dog’s health and quality of life, and we are here to help guide you through the process.

We celebrated our Halloween by handing out TPLO surgeries to our patients. Zeus and Echo said they would have rather went for a “treat” instead of the surgery “trick.” But they will be more thankful once they are healed!

Zeus dressed up as a satellite dish and Echo went as a husky. 😅

Shout out to our awesome team at Travelers Rest Animal Hospital for working their “magic” once again.

We hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween! 🎃
