Threshold Manners!
Maize will not just bust out of any door. She knows to wait until I say break.
This is so important!
Engagement Games pt. 2! In my neighborhood I let maize freely walk off leash with me, so I can see what choices she makes. When she was sniffing at a spot for awhile I wanted to make sure she was still engaged with me.
Socializing your puppy is so important!
Remember Bailey? This isn’t her first time meeting her cousin Maize, but it is her first time being confident enough to play with her. Maize is the best dog to play with ANY other dog. She’s so gentle, sweet, and patient.
You can see Bailey pins Maize and Maize whines(I think she bit her ear with those sharp puppy teeth.) Bailey then goes to lick Maize in the face(saying sorry and that she isn’t a threat) and grabs a toy. Bailey is learning quickly about proper pup etiquette! It’s so exciting to see!
Working on walking in a heel position with triggers around. Farm animals are very hard for Maize lol this was a success!

Engagement Games!
When Maize and I are practicing off leash sometimes we practice engagement/checking in with games.
1, 2, 3, and throw the treat. I throw it behind, in front, and off to the side. It helps her to focus in on me and the treats are her reward. I did this way more in the beginning of our off leash excursions, but still come back to it once and awhile.
